I had to return a ballerina doll that was supposes to light up and spin. It only span, did not light up.
Anyway the girl on the CS desk had to get the manager. He asked if I had checked the batteries, I said well the demo ones supplied lasted all of 10 minutes, so I replaced them with my own rechargeable ones. (Of which ALL my kids toys are powered by). I said this cannot be the problem because it still spins!
Oh no, he knew better and insisted it was my batteries. He asked why they were not in the doll. I said because they are at home, they belonged to me! By this time the queue is getting longer and longer so people are stood in the doorway by the trollies!
Off he goes to get some batteries and a screwdriver. There he stood for 10 minutes trying to change them with the wrong screwdriver whilst not damaging the doll. He was DESPERATE to say look it works, go away.
Anyway lo and behold he manages to do it and there she goes spinning merrily but no light!
By the time I got my refund there must have been about 10 people behind me all very angry. Poor Sod!:rotfl:0 -

If you're not getting any satisfaction in store, go over their heads and write to the UK head office, laying out what has happened and that you're aware of your rights (well covered elsewhere here). Don't waste your time arguing with people in the store.
Toceo - is actually Chief Executive Officer. The OP has tried to make contact with the CEO in the States HQ.0
