need unlocking advice, if you can help :)
guys, been advised by the guys in the ebay board to post this here:
I have a brand new SonyEricsson w900i mobile, locked to Vodafone. I need to use my orange sim in it for my work, but i can't find anyone that can do it!
This guy:

reckons he can, but i'm well dubious about posting my (£500+) phone off to someone who is, basically, a stranger.
His feedback looks fine, but still....
can anyone recommend a better way of getting this moby unlocked?
cheers

Email this guy, highly recommended and known for his great work on a very well known forum. He lists the W800 so chances are he may be able to help you with a remote unlock rather than you sending your phone away.

There is no point sending the phone off, the W900i cannot unlocked by hardware .. the only way it might have a chance of being done at the moment is by pay for code.
Have you phoned Vodafone directly?
Otherwise try contacting these people .. they have a good reputation .. or I'm sure there are others here that can give you a voda code unlocking site.

can be done by remote vodacode - about £15 or by totalmultiserver - about £10 for a credit but you will also need the correct cable which is why it may be cheaper to send it off (as trade people will get the credits cheaper in bulk and will already have the cable)0
