so true FC - the cat that we 'found' that was pregnant (mentioned above) was (we later found out) on her fourth litter...she was just over 2 years old. she was incredibly tiny for her age, in fact after she had the litter and weaned them, she didn't look much bigger than the kittens :( can't see her living a vey long life, I am sure will suffer repercussions later in life thanks to her careless and neglectful owners.

That's so sad. Can I just say that i've only just got the little cat and that i've always had animals/looked after them properly. I don't intend to let her have kittens (unless she's pg now- wouldn't get them aborted) and will get her spayed.

    hi jak (!) :)

sory, didn't mean to imply you were a careless owner...was just referring to the people who owned the poor cat i know. they truly did not give a hoot about her - she was sooooo cute and adorable too.

your cat may be too young/small to give birth, so the vet might recommend spaying even if she is pregnant.

Thanks. I am aplanning on getting her spayed of course. I will take her to the vets for a check up. I've already wormed and flea'd her so I hope if she is with kitten, that doesn't hurt them.
Will post back when I know

    Good plan going to vets!

In the mean time - my vet told me that the over the counter worming stuff was basically useless so she may need a decent dose of worming.

And I second nipples! Cat's have large, swollen nips when preganant. you can see them 4 or so weeks before birth.

    Good luck!
