Confused - too far for ADSL2+???

Currently with ADSL24 HOme 30 on ADSL Max getting about 4Mbps. Exchange due to have ADSL2+ at end March. Exchange unbundled for Be/O2.

Distance from exchange - SamKnows indicated 2.4km, O2 and Be say 5.8km. O2 and Be say they will not connect me cos too far away.

BT Wholesale say the following -
Your exchange is planned to have ADSL2+ by 31st March 2009. Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a potential ADSL2+ broadband line rate of 4Mbps or greater.

So will I able to use ADSL2+ at end of March and get about 4Mbps or am I still too far away?

Must I stay with ADSL Max?

Line stats
Downstream line attenuation - 48db
Upstream - 15db
Noise margin downstream - 9db
Noise upstream - 19db

You'd probably see anywhere from 5 to 7Mb on ADSL2+ with those stats.

O2 et al dont actually carry out any tests when they tell you what speeds you may get, they are just using data base information that is often flawed.
