  • The Liverpool One Zavvi branch is 10 minutes from the Bold Street branch of HMV and 5 minutes from the other branch of HMV at Liverpool One.

Hmv might be buying some of the stores if they're bigger or whatever, I'd imagine that's why they've bought the Glasgow Buchannan st one, probably as it's such a great location too. Maybe they'll use some of the Zavvi's for their new events tickets service?
  • The staff at the Glasgow Buchanan Street store (soon to be HMV) don't think there will be any more reductions/offers than there currently are in fact they suspect this may come to an end soon.

there's 3 hmv's in brum city centre all with a 5minute walk of eachother. and theres a zavvi and hmv right next to each other
  • Not all zavvis are turning into hmvs or being sold to Head., according to the website, some stores will close down, but i don't think there will be massive reductions.

  • If there is no competition on the High St for HMV it will drive more people online as HMV prices instore for most items are far too high.
