Zavvi stores closing by 20/2

Does anyone know if the 18 stores that are closing, those not sold to Head or HMV, are open until close on Friday and if they are selling their stock off cheaper than 25% off?

As Milton Keynes store is confirmed as a closure and if trading until Friday I will go and have a look.

Thanks

    From Telegraph:

Head Entertain, run by Les Whitfield and former Zavvi Chief Executive Simon Douglas, has bought five stores, and is expected to buy another three stores by Friday, securing a total of 249 jobs. That deal also includes the sale of all Zavvi's remaining stock, E&Y said.

I'd imagine they won't be 'giving it away' between now and Friday, but probably just keep at 25%?

    A bit more info:

Head will run stores in Bluewater, Dundee, Leeds, Liverpool One , Manchester Arndale and Bristol Cribbs Causeway.

Rival music chain HMV has also increased the number of stores it will take to 19 in total. HMV’s most recent store buys are in Croydon and Fulham Broadway in London, Glasgow, Hastings and Nottingham.

dunno about everywhere else but passed zavvi in brighton this morning and the 25% signs were still up in the windows with some stock left and staff moving it about but the doors were closed and there was a hand written sign saying the store was closed.
  • Same with Leeds, 25% signs up with tons of stock inside, but with doors closed and staff wondering about.
  • Yeah in Manchester there are two HMVs on the same street about a minutes walk from each other if that.
  • HMV is buying over my local Zavvi as a result nothing is reduced.
  • HMV may be buying some just to stop rivals.
