cheapest BT Broadband deal?

Hi, I am currently with virgin broadband - no phone or TV with them. I have a BT phone line and am considering moving to them for broadband as well but need to get the price lowered from what is advertised as it is sooo expensive! Would be interested to hear what new customer deals anyone has got from them, have seen existing successes of £15.99 a month for unlimited plus home hub on a 12 month contract - anything this good for new sign ups, or advice as to what line to take and who to call. My initial phone call today got me an offer of £18.59 for the first 3 months then up to £24.46 for the remainder of the 18 month contract. My phone line is currently on an anytime call package at £16.09 a month so I was hoping they might make a decent offer, other way is to switch phone to Virgin but am reluctant to do that due to work issues - they prefer we use BT.

I've just signed-up for 18 months - first 3 at half-price, following at £20.95 for Option 3 - the only one to have now that BT will be charging £1 a megabyte from April for over-use. Free Homehub as well. Seems an OK deal, though sure others can do better!0

Have you considered other ISPs, e.g. O2?
Do your employers contribute towards your phone calls/rental? If not, then I certainly wouldn't allow them to have any say in what phone provider I use.

A lot of "BT Wholesale" or LLU broadband providers offer phone call plans - like with free unlimited anytime calls and it all just goes onto your BT phone line.
So you still pay BT line rental (£10.27) - but you get a competitively priced anytime call plan and a decent broadband package too.
Plusnet (http://www.chooseisp.co.uk/broadband-guide/articles/plusnet-offers-truly-unlimited-broadband.html) - is one such company (although they are actually owned by BT) - but they do offer much better broadband, that's way cheaper and anytime call plans - all on a BT phone line.
There are others like AOL and Eclipse also offer anytime call plans on your BT phone line with broadband too.
Alternatively, as Sponge said, Be broadband (or O2 same network) are very good too, and you keep your anytime call plan and line rental with BT.
If your employers want you to stay on a BT phone line - then they would be ignorant if they wouldn't let you get broadband from any ADSL provider - because your phone line wouldn't be any different whatsoever.0
