  • yes just had a good look through runninghorses's posts and it seems all they do is go out of their way to post sarcstic nasty comments on all sorts of threads....oh well probably a fat loser themselves on benefits in a council flat somewhere with no job and blatantly no life and feel better themselves to live out all thier hatred inside on others
Very sad but their are a lot of losers out there

My post was not self involved or gloating all I wanted to say is to ALL first time buyers and sellers there is hope and I have my fingers crossed for all of you who are seriously going through this at the moment

  • If you remmeber I got a load of flack a few weeks back regarding selling of my flat in Crouch End...well the survey has been done and today we have agreed on a date to exchange so all has gone smoothly and we have also found a 3 bed house to rent in Chiselhurst.....for the person that said its 3 times your wage I think you are wrong as we only had to give my husbands work reference, last couple of pay slips, bills, mortgage slips and most importanlty 6 weeks deposit - we are paying £1200 a month

Life is sweet and we had our first scan and saw the baby jumping around a couple of weeks ago!!:j

well congratulations on selling in a difficult market. others may not appreciate how stressful it is. and enjoy chislehurst - it is a lovely area.
  • I think what you will find is most the people will slate anyone who's selling, or anyone who is buying, because they believe it will steady the housing market early and they wont be able to buy, has the houses will just not drop enough for them.

There like a pack of hounds ive seen people post about selling or buying, and then you get the same people coming out the woodwork making comments like they will never sell at that price you need to drop the price by 50% or if your a buyer offer 50,000 pound less off a 100,000 pound house, if they say no walk a way comments, and then all the others thanking them, its laughable!!!!:D.

    But its definately happening less.

    On a serious note,

Hope the sale does not fall through.

You should not commit to the rent unless you have exchanged and have a completion date.
  • I know I even got ridiculed last time because I said I live in Crouch End and everyone asked me to post my flat - yeah as if so then they could all ring and put in false viewings and bids come on now I wasnt born yesterday and because I said I had a craving - being pregnant - for spam and was off to the shops they all doubted I really did live in Crouch End!!! I mean purleese an area does not denote the resident!
I know SPAM is not cavier but when I was a child growing up in the NEw Forest it was a once a week meal!!!

    Agreed...

I found a lovely house to rent the last time we had an offer on our house... I wouldn't put a holding deposit down (although I gave the agent a cheque for it to hold onto - not to be cashed until I said so) or sign anything until exchange of contracts. Lucky thing too, since we were gazundered and the sale fell through.

That same rental house was still available when we went under offer on Friday. Was hoping that, with the promised quick exchange, it would still be available in a week or two. Unfortunately it seems to have the let agreed yesterday

Still everything could still go pear-shaped with our current buyer - you just don't know until exchange...

There is a REAL shortage of (suitable) rental properties around here... BUT have been offered to rent this back from the (investment) buyer, so at the moment that is still an option. Was hoping to "move on" now though... We will see :)
