If you remmeber I got a load of flack a few weeks back regarding selling of my flat in Crouch End...well the survey has been done and today we have agreed on a date to exchange so all has gone smoothly and we have also found a 3 bed house to rent in Chiselhurst.....for the person that said its 3 times your wage I think you are wrong as we only had to give my husbands work reference, last couple of pay slips, bills, mortgage slips and most importanlty 6 weeks deposit - we are paying £1200 a month
Life is sweet and we had our first scan and saw the baby jumping around a couple of weeks ago!!:j

Congratulations
That must be a HUGE weight off of your mind and now you can get on with the important stuff (the baby  ).
I appreciate your position since we are trying to sell before having a baby (we are currently under offer and moving towards a quick exchange with a cash buyer). Unfortunately it looks as though getting pregnant wont be as straightforward for us, but we are working on it
It never matters what anyone on a forum like this says, the important thing is that you are happy. Forums are useful places to gleam helpful bits of information, but there are always a few dotty personalities around
Hope that exchange goes very smoothly and you have a good move to your new home. Most of all, best wishes for your baby. Hope that you can relax now and have a very smooth pregnancy

I recently moved house, changed jobs, graduated university, and became a parent.
Didn't feel the need to go on the Internet boasting and gloating in a hateful tone.
You must be one big fat insecure loser.Been away for a while.0 -

Its jealousy, thats why i dont post much on here, the people who are selling their houses have a lot of jealousy from the people who cant get or afford their own home.
Thats why you got slated in your first post, has all the people who cant afford a house or flat want one for nothing, its just a shame it dont look like its going to happen for them.
They will get over it, like i say i dont post much but i have certainly seen a lot of the doom mungers and doubters crawl back under their stones has buyers have began to come back.0 -

Agreed.
Can't people just be happy for the OP?
Maybe I wear rose-tinted glasses (and have been branded a "tree hugger" in another thread  ), but I didn't take her original post as hateful and boastful: she seemed to be sharing her good news and putting a few mis-conceptions right... (ok the title could use a little work...
).
My immediate thought was "good for her, she has sorted her life out, is happy and is moving on". Sounds good to me...
