New orange sim card with free texts when top up with £10

I am already a customer of orange payg, and wonder whether anybody has tried to upgrade to the free texts with £10 top up a month. I want to keep my current numberr. There is an option to do it online but am not sure how it works and wonder whether anybody has done it before!1 Thanks

Straight forward,. good deal - and you get 300 texts as soon as you sign up (ie no need to add £10 to get the free texts for the first month).

I just registered a simcard last night, how do you get the free texts, do they come on automatically or do you have to do something else?
  • Is it still the case with Orange PAYG that if you miss a topup, you don't get get your 300 texts until the month after you next topup, rather than the next day as with O2?

Almost certainly you will lose them yes. I have the same 5 free texts a day, and Although I haven't looked at the terms and conditions of this offer, on previous offers it stated that it was either/or, and once you have changed there was is no going back
