    CHG O/DRAFT INTEREST
If part of your overdraft is made up of penalty charges, they will be charging interest on these as well as legitimate overdraft interest. In theory you can claim this too, but in practice it's tricky to separate the two, so most people don't bother

    FEE ACCOUNT CHARGE
    No, this is a service

    CHG O/DRAFT USAGE FEE
    Yes
    CHG O/DRAFT EXCESS FEE
    Yes
    CHG UNPAID D/D
    Yes
    CHG UNPLANNED O/D FES
    Yes

Yes, because the 8% interest is worked out from the date of each separate charge

You cannot save the sheet, so take note of this:
When you click ‘print’, a new window will pop up with a schedule of your charges. To save the list and avoid typing it in again, highlight the text in the window, then copy (Ctrl + C) it and paste into Word.

As long as you put in the correct dates and figues into the calculator on this site it should be correct. I have always used a spreadsheet, but that one looked fine to me. Was you able to print yourself a couple of copies. If you are claiming from 2001 you will have to deal with the limitations act. I have a current claim with Halifax for 18 years - which has now been stayed by the courts. But Halifax did agree the one charge that fell within the 6 year period.

When you send your letter with spreadie also send an Income and Expenditure schedule with evidences of your hardship and reasons. This will speed things along. Also, the FSA waiver is due to expire on 26/1/09, so you will need to get your skates on.

It does sound like you are in Financial Hardship and you may come under the FSA waiver rules.

I follow Legal Allsorts, a very interesting site.
  • I am about 100% certain the waiver will be renewed for a further 6 months, and it may not vary much from what the current wording is at the moment. The current appeal is on the historic terms and conditions, and there will be appeals for the current terms and conditions judgements.
