Agreed about the deo.
However as far as I am concerned, the OP should have saved the overpaid money as the OP evidently knew that she wasn't entitled to it.0 -
Do you really and truly think he should have the money back?

why with heart, most use csa for the money, thats what the csa is all about - not contact - not relationships - csa is about money

Csa can not get involved in contact or relationships, they are about the money going to the child/the welfare of the child.Mortgage Free 2016Work Part Time:DHouse Hunting In France 20230 -

If keeping the cash gets ex mad and he starts to resent kids....(prolly not in this case but you see my point).....will he continue to see them?. Who pays then?
Do you hate all PWC's?0 -
Hi Thank you, I will call and stop fretting, always a good idea and may be not as bad as I thinkHi Susan, ring them and tell them straightaway. They will check back on previous payments and come out with the right amount you have received. they will work out a schedule for you to pay back at your affordable rate. they will not expect you to pay it all back in one go. If they are at fault then you can also send a complaint letter with details of payments from them into your bank account. Not to worry they will sort it out clerically.;)0 -
Thank you I will ring them xkelloggs36 wrote: »Even if the CSA are out of pocket, the PWC is not actually liable to repay the debt if they say they can't do so as it was used in good faith. HOWEVER if the PWC was aware that they should not have had the money then that MAY be different - I would ring them if I were you and say you can't afford it and see what they respond with.0 -
just been reading this thread, and what strikes me is that the PWC was quite aware that monies should have been stopped, so why did she continue ( as other people have already mentioned) to spend the monies. surely the best thing would have been to put this to one side and chase the csa and get confirmation of change of circumstances. its a bit like suddenly find a load of money has been put into your bank account and although you know deep down this has been a mistake you spend it. Well we would certainly create a fuss if this was the other way and monies had been taken out of our account in error, I do feel that this is a situation of 'burying your head in the sand'. In this case the poor NRP has overpaid in good faith. We berate a lot of NRP's for not paying, so we should be truly fair to those that do pay.0
