LG U880 on 3 12 months free on 12 month contract

I've just received a brand new LG U880 on 3 and in my opinion this a great deal. You can get other phones on the same deal with 10 months free line rental on a 12 month contract.

The deal is as follows:

£35 a month tariff with 400 cross network minutes, 250 texts, 25 video calling minutes, 25 video or picture minutes and £5 of video content every month. Cashback is redeemable after 6 and 12 months and I've checked the conditions and there's no catch (like conditions that cannot be met).

My deal included 12 months free line rental on a 12 month contract but considering how good this phone is, it's still a great offer. This is my first time using the 3 network but it seems like a good service so far.

Some have been knocking the LG phones, I thought the 880 had a good spec. How does it compare to Nokia?

In my opinion having had Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung, it's certainly comparable with good features and build quality. I know what you mean, previous LG phones have looked a bit dated but this is their top of the range new phone and they really have done a good job.

Admittedely you have to be careful with such online companies but if you read the terms and conditions and interpret them explicitly then as long as they are attainable then if you follow them there should not be a problem. The main issue with the person who starting the thread mentioned was that he waited till month 12 to claim the the 2nd cashback based in month 11 + 12 bills. If you read it literally you must send month 11 bill within 28 days and month 12 bill within 28 days. Follow the instructions precisely as stated and everything should be fine.
