having been really productive yesterday and most of today am now lost in a stupid squabble with DH.

Everytime he speaks it seems like he's criticising my parenting. (soon-to-be-parenting!).

Example: 'you need to put Fergus' health first!' (this because I'm painting a door)

I think said to most mums this sounds like a criticism, because of course we put the bump first! No question! Why can't they say things like: 'I know you love the baby loads. Why don't I paint the door, and then he'll have a door on his room and a mummy with nice clean lungs!' with a friendly smile. That's what I'd like to hear :D.

Well I've said that now, and he's said he'll try and word it less clumsily from now on. So that's good. Just wanted to get it off my chest I guess.

Thanks for being there to moan at!:A

paparoo, I like morgan a lot. Jack wouldn't be a contender for me because it's been so high on the list of commonest baby names for the last decade. I guess I'd be a bit worried he might get lost in the sea of all the other Jacks at school! Just my thought though, and it is still a really nice name ;)

    Love Weezl x

Weezl - I got the same yesterday with hubby - the conversation started 'I am not going to get mad or shout at you yet but will you stop...'

He says to get him to do it...I think if I keep having to wait around for him I won't get anything done

Keep meaning to ask you weezl - is that you in your avvy?

papa-roo - Isn't it a bit too early to be deciding on names?? I have 8 days left and we are still no where near decided!!

I got marmite all over my white dressing gown earlier

    Welcome to madwoman!

  • Happy birthday Elle! :bdaycake:

Congratulations Kurjam - I love the name Ruby too!

    And welcome newbies!

Still catching up with everything as I wasn't around yesterday, we had in-laws around for a meal and I didn't stop all day. MIL is a brilliant cook and has a spotlessly clean house, so I spent all day cleaning EVERYTHING and making sure the table was laid perfect, all the food was prepped etc. So I am having a lazy day today and putting my feet up!

yup, tis I! I keep forgetting I've got an avvy, cos I can't see any on my browser.:o

I'm always a bit perplexed when you can see each others scans etc...!:D

do you think we're at the 'annoying phase with hubby due to the drive to get things done pre-baby' It's not in the text books, but it sounds like we're both there!
