I love Costco but don't actually buy that much :o. A rep came to my office years ago and signed me up as a Trade Member without all the faffing about with paperwork. When I gave up my job I just changed the address to my home.
We go for a little wander around and yup, the cakes are to die for! :j. DH also likes Skippy peanut butter and they sell massive jars at a fraction of the cost of a small one in Selfridges .
I don't buy baby things there as I usually find the supermarket/Boots offers work out cheaper.
Oh, and the best part for me is an extremely cheap baked potato with cheese and huge muffin at their cafe! :o;).
    xx
OMG I forgot... I always try to go on a saturday late morning and have "costco taster lunch" :money: Some of the taster people have sussed me out so I get Chris to help ;) you can't say no to a cute lil boy asking for more!! :rotfl:

Thank you for all the

Helen & Glamazon - It's nice to finally be joining you! I'm feeling great, thanks, too well it seems - I have no symptoms still at all & it's driving me mad as I want to feel pregnant so I know it's all real lol. I don't feel sick, my boobs haven't swollen to the size of 2 watermelons etc etc like with DD so I have to keep looking at my BFP POAS to remind myself it's real.

Last time we didn't tell anyone apart from my parents, grandparents & 1 close friend until after our 12 week scan but this time my close family & a few of our friends know already as they knew we were TTC & so when they asked if it had happened this month we told them.

It's another 8 weeks until we can tell everybody & it's already killing me. I just want to shout it from the roof tops whilst waving a big sparkly banner!! I have no idea how I'm going to manage lol. At least this time we will get our 12 week scan on the NHS as last time we had to go private, so now I can justify getting a 4D scan using the money we saved :rotfl:

EDITED TO ADD: I would have killed my OH if he had done that Glamazon, I'm not surprised you couldn't sleep afterwards. I'm still scared of the dark & I'm 23:rotfl: :o

My OH shuffles his legs when he's siiting on the sofa or in bed - it's so annoying!

Started a thread on employment board asking for advice about whether I should go for a promotion if opportunity came up, but should I tell work that I am pg before or after. Got a little bit heated but nothing like some threads on this site!

Sami - apparently I've got 'one of those faces'. People always think I look like someone they know but I don't look like anyone except me :D
Short dark hair (eye length on the left, chin length on the right), very SPOTTY, big button nose, brown eyes - sound gorgeous don't I? :rotfl:

I've just caught up whilst watching last week's Mistresses (recorded it) and this week's. I made notes as I was reading, so this one is going to be a long one!!

    You're welcome
It was me that said I can't really turn over with it, I get tangled up in the duvet if I try! but if I'm hugging it when I fall asleep I tend to stay there until I wake up in the morning so it doesn't bother me too much, I certainly get more sleep with it than without!
oh and hubby knew his luck was in the other night because I moved it from the middle of the bed to the edge on my side before i got in
Ha ha, that sounds just what it'll be like in our house!!!

I saw a V pillow in Dunelm Mill yesterday for £5.99, and £2.99 for the cover. Going to go down and get one when I next get chance!
Thank you for this pinkpig. I was given my V pillow and although it has a case, I would like a nice new one and £2.99 sounds very reasonable.

    hi ladies,
can i have some help with nursing bra advice?
how do i know what size to get? do i get the size i am now, even though i know when my milk comes in my boobs will change?
M&S advised me that to go in at 38 weeks to be measured for nursing bras. However, that sounds odd to be as surely my boobs will grow after I've given birth when my milk comes in. The advice Sami and Tine was given sounds more realistic to me.
And here is a little pic of where baby will find itself in a couple of months time... Aimee's hand is in the corner... She was bringing teddies for baby to borrow seeing as it doesn't have any yet...

The cover is completely impractical and will probably go on eBay sooner or later lol...
It may be impractical, but it looks gorgeous!
im refusing to go to work today i feel like a bag of smacked poo im still laying in bed gonna call work when someone will be in the store im all bunged up my mouth feels like the sahara and ive got a headache so im with you lovely waddlers for the day hope your all feeling better then me sending labour vibes, and ((hugs)) to whoever needs them x

a friend of mines OH had a baby recently, and his baby was born was a couple of weeks early so they kept baby and mum in for 4 days. during that time the only time dad was allowed to see them was in strict visiting hours which in our hospital is just 2 hours an afternoon

That sounds awful. I've just checked our hospital's website and it says the labour ward has open visiting for birthing partners. The maternity ward is only open 3pm-5pm and then 7pm-9pm. That's fine for visitors that aren't dads, but sounds a bit unfair for new dads. I intend to do my best to be out there the same day if at all possible.

Mrs Moc - I'm glad everything is well with your baby. It sounds like your radiographer realised she'd been mean to you but shame she didn't think before she opened her mouth,

Welcome to jacksons mum, karen1907 and nikabella. It's really weird seeing November due dates now, as my due date in July still seems miles off and most of the time I don't feel like I've been pregnant for very long but seeing Nov due dates makes me realise mine is getting closer.

Nice to hear from your r.mac. Glad you're enjoying being a mummy.

Lots of labour vibes to redmel, MFD and emlou.

    xxxxx

I almost always ask a qu in here before going to another bit of the site coz if I search I can never find what I want and sometimes one of u ladies knows of a thread that's relevant/knows the answer and because I hate startingnew threads now because so many people seem to think that this forum is a place to vent your frustrations at someone else

I've been sent an email from GLTC AKA Great Little Trading Co.
If anyone is happy to give me their full name, email and address and receive their catalogue I can "recommend a friend" and I'll get £2.50 for the first 4 friends I recommend (provided they don't already "know" you) :D PM me if you are interested thankyouplease

Didn't you post a while back that you'd been informally promised a promotion when it next came up, and that the company then reneged on that and gave it to someone else? If so, then I'd have no moral qualms whatsoever about applying for the next promotion which comes up without disclosing the pregnancy, because if they had honoured their original commitment to you, you'd have been in post already for months before you fell pregnant.

The law is on your side here, and the "moral" arguments on that thread are bogus. The fact of the matter is that you are likely to have a good 4-5 months in the post (if it comes up quickly) before you even think about starting your maternity leave. That is a sensible amount of time to put systems in place, and you have said that the new job would be easier to combine with parenthood than your existing role, hence it is more likely that you will return to the company after maternity leave in the promoted job than your current one, which is also of benefit to them.

Given that you are looking for a job within the same organisation, whichever way you slice it they will be without you for several months after your baby is born, and nothing you have posted about your current job and the new opportunity suggests that it will be more difficult for them to cover for you in one role other than the other. I wouldn't let anyone who knows nothing about you or your workplace deter you from applying if that's what you want to do.

I don't know if there is a "proper" way to do it but I always right click on the quote button and "open in new tab" as I catch up then cut n paste them into one, bit of a faff but better than posting a million times and losing ur place IMHO x
