I tell ya - Roo better fit into the going home outfit I have bought her or I'll be telling them to take her back :rotfl: no not really but I would be a little upset if it didn't fit cos I like it so much :)

I quite like Eloise... Might go run that one by hubby... :D

£170 is fab Mrs Moc - what a start to a baby fund!!

Bubba is dancing his little heart out and it is killing me  I can't wait til he's out and can kick at someone else for a while.

Hubby even more in bad books now - as DSS was leaving he asked if his mum would be coming to the hospital to meet Bubba and hubby said Yes
Over my dead body. I am easy going about his ex-wife not bl00dy mental

What annoys me more than anything is that we had this conversation months ago when I said under no circumstances do I want her at the hospital when I am feeling my most vulnerable.

Thing is, I know she would be nothing but lovely and that she will be genuinely concerned and eager to see how me and Bubba are doing but I still don't want her there. It was bad enough that she and all her family knew I was pregnant before our own families never mind her meeting Bubba before everyone else too.

    *and relax*

Do you know that you will so miss those kicks when Bubba is here! ;).

And as for DSS's Mum visiting -
I know you all have a fabulous relationship but I think this is one time just for you and yours.

    xx

MFD - Maybe your dh was just saying that to keep him happy, or at least prevent any bad feelings iykwim. I think if you have a chat with him, although maybe after you've calmed down a bit, he will understand how you feel:)

This is a similar thing as I was saying yest about my MIL, dh just agreed at the time just to keep her quiet and to get her off the phone, but he knows there is no way she is coming around until I say so...tbh, he was thoroughly annoyed at her comments too and did say to her that she does ahave the boys to bond with too, who would both understand and appreciate her attentoins more than a newborn baby.

Thanks shellsuit, she was baby no name until Friday.

My Mum & Dad clearly hate it, my sister told them the name and said you could tell

My dad walked in today and started going on and on about how are you spelling it (something in his voice like I'd made the name up) so I told him and he was pulling faces so I got very annoyed and said its not how I'm spelling it, That is how it is spelled! aaarrrgh

    Well done Millies'Mum and Jo!

I think Eloise is a lovely name-lots have people have given me funny looks when i've told them Violet - but we love it and thats what matters.

I work somewhere dealing with children, and recently had one called Ellawheeze - I'm seriously not joking!! That is taking a really pretty name - and changing the spelling to remind me of a chest infection everytime i see it!!

  • Thanks SB and Mel - I know she will want to come here when I am home and her family will want to see the baby too. I just don't want her at the hospital.

I am sure it will be fine. It's going to take some engineering so that she doesn't come to be honest, it would be much easier for her to bring DSS to us rather than hubby doing the hour round-trip drive to pick DSS up and drop him off.

To be fair as soon as he said yes he looked at me and I shook my head and he said 'probably not actually mate' so I think he realised that he had said the wrong thing.

Some things are just a step too far...like when she saw my wedding video before I did :rotfl:
But I guess I got over that one so if she does end up there I will get over that too.

  • Lovely neat bump elle - my niece is 19 weeks and is about your size...when I was 20 weeks I was probably bigger than you will ever get to - but then I have grown the human beach ball :rotfl:

She saw your wedding video before you:eek::eek::eek: How on earth....maybe you don't want to answer that, will probably bring back a bitter taste:rolleyes:

I do think it would be the best idea to arrange for her to bring dss to you once you are home, that way she gets to see the baby and dss gets his visit too:)

I must say, you all seem very civilised to each other!

How are you feeling anyway MFD, hopefully not too uncomfortable.
