Are babies usually that co-operative??? Lets hope so - I'd like one baby before Monday please :D (stop me having to go for the scan anyway!!)

Hope things go as you want them to durham

17th or 24th of April for me. Mum says it has to be a Friday, otherwise she'll have to miss work, and she is very busy in April!

Sami - regarding the scans - the second one sounds a lot like your usual 20 week scan...are you looking for reassurance or just for 'looking' IYSWIM - if all you want to do is watch the baby for a while then doing all those measurements means that they keep stopping and measuring from this point to that point etc...

I can't recommmend Babybond enough - we went to 2 of their places and they were SO good to us. They also do evenings and weekends.

The babybond places are miles away tho, I can't remember if nearest was in manc or liverpool or poss one in both but it would be about 3hr round trip to liverpool and no point if there are a few nearby :) I've looked at about 6 local ones and those too where most helpful, I'm drawn to the 2nd one but mostly because of the flashy website :o

what do you all think of these post birth pants from boots? I've always just used paper pants, but if I'm having a section these might be more comfy afterwards??
    Tia just one word; why?
I have only worn paper pants once in my life and I will never touch any kind of disposable pants ever again they are minging :p I just use my usual knickers I have about 30 pairs of plain black briefs :D they are dirt cheap and actually comfy ;)

I just felt more comfortable knowing that I could take the full thing off, pants and pad, and throw it away. With DS1 I bled very heavy and clotty, so I felt cleaner with the paper ones, and knowing that everything that missed the pad was not needing to be washed off. With DS2 I wasn't expecting a section, but the paper ones were nice and high, well above my scar. And I had a drain in for a week! Big pants just rolled down and pressed on my scar. And if I remember, a little bit of pressure against a section scar kinda reminds you that you wont fall out through it!

I have no idea, but I have never found knickers that do stay up without falling down at the crotch, which would not be good with pads. Usually at 'that time' if I have to wear a pad I end up with tummy control pants as they are the only ones that seem to work for me. But not a good idea for pregnancy. :rotfl:

Sami - 3hr round trip? you driving a snail?!! I got from work to middle of Liverpool in 30mins and that was at 6.30pm on a match day! Just jump on the East Lancs.
I doubt think we will have any private scans unless we get concerned about anything.

I did have a horrible thought this morning thou - I had steroid injections into scarring at the beginning of August and they said your not planning on getting pg in the next 6 months? to which I replied 'God no!' Anway, conceived 5 months later. Must remember to mention to MW tomorrow - knowing my luck baby will end up being a real big un!! :rotfl:

OH has offered to take me out for lunch before we go to MW to make up for my horrible day today - I do love him :D

Lol - snap Mel - although I can't get in til Monday! You did say our bumps were exactly the same!!!

Hehe, strange that isn't it? Although your baby is engaged mine is barely in pelvis!! which I find strange considering how low I am carrying:confused:

That's exactly what I do Sami, cheapy nicks from asda, they are only a few quid for a pack of 5..I actually had loads left over that hadn't got 'stained' from ds2...i'm probably still wearing them now!

GOOD LUCK CAZ.....hope it all goes smoothly for you:D

    Mel x

Hmmm.... they would be if you put some tomato in there, or pineapple. Or just imagine that there is? :rotfl:
