1000 post limit per thread ???

It's the little things in life that annoy you!:confused:

I've read a few comments about threads being closed once they exceed 1000 posts.
I'm sure one of them was by an MSE official but can't think where I read it.

Can anyone suggest where it's from.

Is it official?

Is it unofficial?

Or it it just an old [strike]wives[/strike] MSE'rs story?

    It's official, especially on the word games threads in the MoneySavers Arms.

    I know there are some other threads that are over 1,000 posts and still going, but I think this is more down to the discretion/agreement of the board guides and/or forum team.

    Thanks for that. I didn't think to look in the 'Arms. Must have seen it on a visit there once.
