AA car insurance renewal - always phone them!

Can anyone tell me why some people think other people will be interested in how much they're paying for car insurance?
Moneysaving tips posted on a money saving website. What a crazy concept!!!!
Actual figures help people realise how much they could save for the sake of a brief phone call. People are not obliged to read these threads if it bores them.
Well done to the OP."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -
I can't understand why anyone in their right mind would give more business to a company who was willing to drop their price by over £100 to retain business. Why was the price so high to start with.
i agree it's a con but the answer is presumably because they remained the cheapest available option.0 -

None of us have any idea why the premium changed for the OP. And in any case we're dealing with a person who thinks a premium going up "twenty quid or so" is a lot.
Why is there this preconception that insurance premiums should decrease every single year?
And that isn't a rhetorical question.0 -

£20 increase is a lot if you have an extra years NCB, if you are young and changed from say 18 to 19 - in those types of situations then surely it's normal for people to expect their premium to decrease?
not all average joe public realises that insurance companies bang up their prices at renewal, so they don't always expect the same as you and me0 -

Lies, damn lies, and statistics. None of it means anything.
Relevance to the current discussion????Most of what anyone needs to know about insurance is already somewhere on this forum.
Right then I suppose Martin should stop people putting up any new posts and just lock the insurance thread as everything anybody needs to know is here already.....apparently!!!
