    A little pixie came to my door and give me a million pound ! I don,t think so !
    I think you will find they can withdraw any offer at any time . They will have her letter offering the higher amount as proof . Anyone can see the error . If you were a Judge would you allow it ? Bet you will find they cash the cheque then chase her for the full amount out standing .

    Perhaps, stapeley - but, then again, it is certainly worth a go.
    The OP has already stated that her daughter will hold on to the balance just 'in case'.
