http://www.quidco.com is a cashback site.
The way they work is if you are to buy something over the internet, by going to a cashback site like Quidco (they are many others) and using their link to get to the site, you can earn money. For instance, buying from Plumbworld via Quidco will get you 5.5% cashback.
Once you get to a certain level of money with them - they'll send you the money. I'm currently awaiting a £30 cheque from another site, last month I got £92 as boyfriend bought his car insurance thorugh their link and got £70 cashback!!
If you go to http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=42 this is where you can be referred to register with these sites and earn others money for you joining.

I saw the Rosa one tonight at focus and it looks great.
£229 which is a good price and the taps look top notch as well.
but this offer ends on monday or so they say. And pensioners day is on tue so my dad could have got £29 of for me.
Bummer. But i think that we will still buy it.
Probably cost more than that to get a plumber to fit it.0 -
Look around in all the local showrooms and once you know what you want see what the on-line prices are. We recently got a Shanks bath for our daughter's flat for £135 delivered when our cheapest local stockist wanted nearly £200.
I think it is worthwhile getting a decent quality bathroom if you plan to be in the property more than a couple of years. Our Shanks stuff is now 18 years old and still looks really good, most of our neighbours put in cheap stuff ( we all had houses built) and had to change it after 6 or 7 years.
I suppose that means you get the latest fashion, but think of the upheaval and mess, especially with tiling!!! I would rather move!!0 -
Thanks everyone for the great advice and recommendations - much appreciated!0

I know it's probably a bit late but if your still looking check out https://www.cityplumbing.co.uk. They have branches all over the place and there might be one near you. Just got my bathroom kitted out and the sales assistant couldn't have been more helpful. Very knowledgeable too. I did note they have been bought over by Travis Perkins who were also mentioned in this thread.0

Quidco is not like other cashback sites - they do not make you wait until you get to a certain level - they take £5 per year (only if you earn that much) in admin fees and everything else is yours, you can opt to have payments from as little as 1p. Also they do not give referrals, so you cannot earn money for others by being referred. The only way to join quidco is directly with them.
Hope that clarifies.
On the plumbing note, try https://www.victoriaplumb.com they have very keen prices.0 -

Anyone know when it will be 10% weekend at Homebase?0

Just one thought to bear in mind when you are choosing a new bath - I was advised to avoid very cheap ones as they are made of thin material and can crack easily.0
