Best place to go for new bathroom suite? please help!

Why is buying a new bath, loo, hand basin and taps, proving to be so difficult? No wonder it has taken us nearly 20 years to change from our 70's turquoise limited edition bathroom suite! There are just so many different styles to choose from out there. Has anyone done any research as to the best value for money and where to start looking? Thanks.....

I bought (the cheapest I could find at the time to get rid of the grey plastic suite we inherited with our house) from Focus DIY.
It is called Chamomile and was £179 - 20% discount offer at the time. But it has a steel bath, modern push button on top loo and pedestal sink. Also taps and plugs - now they aren't posh taps, just your basic ones, but in that price range you could also get a lovely 'shell' plastic suite in B&Q...that's why we got that one!!
Focus do still have this suite for sale and they are collect in store only.

There is also a very similar suite on Screwfix - might be worth your while looking for some kind of code? Thats also where we got our heated towel rail from for £50 inc valves

If you have a Travis Perkins close buy have a look at what they got.

I got a lovely bathroom suite plus steel bath for £199.99. And that was a short bath and not a standard size. Which are harder to get and more expensive then a standard bath.

    Hope that helps.

Know what you mean we had a tasteful Avocado green bathroom suite with greenish tiles that we had painted to make it look better.

And we had a new bathroom put in just before we put the flat up for sale. And if I must say so myself it looked very nice once finished and I do think it helped to sell the place quicker.

We had lived there nearly 7 years before we did anything major with it.

We ordered our new suite from www.plumbworld.co.uk and the service was fantastic. The after sales service was also excellent. I went to TP and Bradfords and they said they couldn't hope to match Plumbworld's prices. I think Quidco do cashback with them as well.
Don't blame me, it was like that when I got here!
  • Thanks Rogerp, so glad I registered on this site today it's just so informative. Will definately check out the web site you have suggested and hopefully may even sell the old turquoise suite on ebay someone may absolutely love it!
Thanks again - much appreciated :j
