Yep, I am also a member of the aristocracy! You should start up a thread about how DD is a ponce and has never had a proper job and how you hope I go bankrupt.

We think he's an annoying, bald t0sspot, but others will revere him, his TV status and the fact Krusty is on his Xmas card list.
PN if people will call him it implies they think he can do whatever they are calling him for..suggesting what he knows, besides who he knows, is useful, doesn't it?0 -
Not necessarily. I've known of a lot of people who were employed to do jobs they had never done before, on high salaries, just because a mate got in touch.lostinrates wrote: »PN if people will call him it implies they think he can do whatever they are calling him for..suggesting what he knows, besides who he knows, is useful, doesn't it?
It works at all levels.
Look at those bank bosses just last week, none of whom had any banking qualifications. Who you know.0 -

What on earth does a TV presenter who owns a company have to do with people in negative equity?
And don't come back and say 'he was responsible for ramping property prices'. You buy a house, you take on the responsibility.0 -

I accept this, I have to because I also accept the opposite...its not outside my experience that a well known name can also stand against someone.
But there are peole who know people who are also good at what they do.0 -
At least it's heartening to see the 2 arch property pimps in the UK, krusty & phil, share in the pain and misery they've helped cause to millions of hardworking, honest people (unlike them two)Krusty & Phil Madoff, 1990 - 2007:

If people were that 'hardworking' and 'honest' then they would have done a bit of research on buying the most expensive thing they will ever buy, rather than base their whole decision on a one hour TV programme.
In a way, the credit / HPI issue in this country is a lot like the increasing obesity problem. McDonalds is no more to blame for people getting fat that people who present programmes on telly about property are for people buying things they can't afford.0
