Apparently the connect card is a normal Visa Debit Card as opposed to an Electron card so in theory has a buffer for transactions against funds whereas the Electron Card checks funds are in place already.
It doesn't really make much difference other than a connect card is more widely accepted and doesn't smell quite so much of destitution.0 -

I really don't care what card I have. I was merely pointing out that apparently Electron cards make it more obvious that you've had financial difficulties, like Solo cards did when Switch was about. I know this bothers some people, although I'm certainly not one of them.0

I was told by two different people at Natwest yesterday that applications for the Step Account would be accepted online if you apply as a new customer and do not check the box to say you have been made bankrupt. So they want me to commit fraud it would seem...
Anyway, the Step Account only comes with a Solo card so on that basis, the Barclays account is better. But opening an account at Barclays is another story altogether!0 -
Ive gone for the Co-Op account on the basis that it seems to be the most BR friendly one and the fact that BArclaycard are one of my creditors! Am seriously considering changing a few other bits to the Co-Op as well. Suddenly noticed last night that they are advertising more now!
On a random note, my son is considering changing his bank account from Lloyds, so i told him to try the Co-Op.:beer:0
