Shoulder of Pork joints £2 per kg Asda

Options
After being inspired by Mr Oliver, tried a shoulder joint last week , it was lovely very easy to cook, did mine with sage and onion stuffing and the family loved it. Today in Asda they had lovely English shoulder joints for £2 per Kg this is just amazing value. Have a massive joint of English pork for under £4, some went in a stir fry tonight, the rest I will roast and what is left we can have cold with salad or in butties.

I just found it on their website, but often such good offers sell out pretty fast. I found a really nice recipe on the net using this cut, so I might have a look for it in-store. I had stopped going to Asda but this might be worth getting a few of, for the freezer! :p
  • Thanks op.

I just bought an approx 2kg pork joint.

Cut it into 1x 1kg (half joint) for roasting (2 days for me and OH of roast pork, then 2 days of curry with leftovers)
2x 500g joints which I shall cut up later for casseroles etc.

All put in freezer, would have bought more but a student house means a small and tiny freezer shelf for myself :(
