    hi
so would it go round the kitchen floor before mopping picking up dog hair and mud?
do you have to buy their cleaning fluid?
    thanks

Hi hmc, well I have one mucky dog so I'm hoping so! I don't cook much so the majority of muck in my kitchen comes of the dog's paws! I'll let ou know how I get on once it's charged up. RE the fluid, I would say that you could use any as you just pore the liquid and water in a container attached to the machine. The bottle isn't attached to the mop like the Flash Power Mop used to.

Think of it as a Flash Power Mop but with a vacumn attached!

Not sure about the Flash mop but I used to have the similar Dettol easymop and I'd say that the Flipease is much sturdier than the more disposable type of mop - I don't think there is much difference in cost between them either, especially when you factor in the fact that you don't need to buy replacement cloths all the time for the Flipease.

I've found it's better to hoover the whole floor before you do any mopping btw, once the cloth is wet the bits don't hoover up so well. The video on the Bissell website shows it alternating between hoovering and mopping and hoovering and mopping etc, but the results are much better if you hoover first then mop all in one go. Just a little tip :rotfl:

Just about to go do it again now as DH has been cooking and the floor is covered again!

I will wait full 12hrs last time i bought a charging item a suction handle thing from superdrug it never worked well as i did use it before 12 hours. After first full charge i could not get any suction. let it all charge out and stuff but its never worked well enough. Reading the instructions for this is making me wonder if that was part of the problem. Glad it works for you though.

u usually sweep with my rubber broom, pick up with dust pan and brush then get the mop and bucket out
so if this would be quicker and less effort im all for it. also for bathroom,i hoover and then do by hand with a floor wipe

It's still on charge! I didn't plug it in until about 19:00, so I will leave it overnight. I always remember the IT guy at work saying that when you get a new mobile phone you should always charge it for the full amount of time on the first charge otherwise it affects the charging ability of the battery. Whether that's true or not, but I don't want to risk it with this mop lol

I'm the same - hoover first and then mop - so I'm hoping that this will be a lot quicker as I'd only use it in the kitchen and bathroom.

Ok, I had a quick hoover this morning but didn't have time for a mop :o Am pleased with the hoover bit, it picked up all the bits of crusty mud that came of my dog's paws after his walk. I would use this every day and then use my main vac once a week for the nozzle to get round the sides. I'll let you know what the mop bit is like when I test that tonight!
  • Just used the mop part on our whole downstairs laminate flooring (4 large-ish rooms) and I'm very very impressed! We have 2 dogs that spend a lot of time in the garden and you can imagine what the floors look like sometimes. I didn't use the vacuum part as that's not what I bought it for, TBH. Gave it the once over with Sir James' Fred Goodwin-sized pension fund (any guesses?) and then used the Flip Ease. Excellent finish on the floor. Only criticism? It's not made for people of any real height (Bissell maybe are male chauvinists who believe this is a woman's job :p ) but apart from that it comes highly recommended.
