Orange refund

I have just noticed on my Orange Bill that i have been charged £3.404 for 'Multimedia Sub'
On calling Orange they told me that i signed upto Traffic TV and that the charge is for text messages in relation to Traffic TV. I was advised that i would get text messages every morning, which i don't!
On a close look through other bills i have seen it goes back quite a while, 12 months
Orange have said that they will not be refunding any money.....is this right?

its one of those things orange adds on automatically - i had the same problem with my £20 a month sim only contract - easy money for them!
I complained they never wanted to refund so thats why im with 02 now!0 -
If you complain enough you might get the last 3 months back. If it's been on the bill for the last 12 months they will just say you must have accepted the bundle, sorry. . .0

Orange are right to say you wont get any money, Its been on there for 12 months, Its your own responsibility to check your bills.0

Got a call back from another Lady at Orange. Have been advised that i will get a full refund. The lady herself even said she does not understand why they offer a months free trial.
As i didi not have any text messages relating to the Multimedia Sub they had not provided me with the service i was meant to get hence the full refund. She did also say that she looked at all the requests sent from the handset and could not even see that i requested to have Traffic TV even on a free trial.
Thank you Orange. :Tend the tv tax0 -
Interesting thread. I queried my bill with Orange over the weekend as I noticed that the bills were higher than usual. It turned out that i too had somehow subscribed to a text messaging service at about £3 per month. it has been going on since November. Orange said it was a third party and could not give details as to who they were. I have always been very careful of these things so am gobsmacked as to how this has happended!"I think I spent 72.75% of my life last year in the office. I need a new job!!"0

If you get a bill for something then the billing company should be able to tell you what they are billing you for.end the tv tax0
