yeah and I tried it with orange who went "see ya then!" :-/
  • Orange are shoddy, even when you do get them to agree to price matching they still add the full price on so beware.

I am on the new 3 network from tomorrow so am hoping it will improve. cx :)

You are having a laugh ;D

Going on the 3 network is the worst mistake anyone could make ::)

I have been with Orange for about 8 years and never had a problem. :)

I thought that from the first post you were already with O2 but this seems to indicate you were with orange ??? just a little confused. I have been with O2 online for years and believe me can push a deal, never payed for a handset but never had the extras you have had thrown in....
    Nice to save.
  • I have done this for the last 3 years, if they will not give you the phone you want as a free upgrade, just port your number to a different network who will, it is usually a hassle free call to customer services to get a pac code, you just give the code to the salesperson dealing with your new contract.

The customer services will always ask why you are moving and will usually offer you an incentive to stay but if not then take your custom elsewhere. the mobile phone industry is one of the biggest rip offs going with their 12 month contracts and text charges and the thanks you get for being with one service provider year in, year out, is to charge you £50 or £60 for an upgrade, when you can usually get the same phone or a better one just by changing networks.

I am with my 3rd network in 4 years with almost no problems barring the usual direct debit mix ups etc.

    Shaun.
  • i upgraded with 02 two weeks ago

on a £30 per month contract, fancied the new v3

called up, stating that i had seen a t-mobile offer of 400mins x-net, 500 sms and 2.0mb of gprs a month for £25

    price matched the lot!!
  • oh yeah, forgot

    the v3 was free
