Vodaphone Top-ups

Vodaphone Top-ups:

Are you are on a pay-as-you-go Vodaphone network & top-up using your debit-card? Top-up in amounts £15 each time and they will give you £2.50 free!

They used to do this via the electronic top-up card service, but it now only works when you do it over the phone with your debit or credit card.

  • Thanks for the reminder.

I've been a Vodafone Pay As You Go customer for 6 years now and they've given this option for the last 3 years to my knowledge when updating by phone and registered direct debit.

Trouble is I use the phone so little it takes ages for me to use up the £15 let alone the £17.50!

I try to limit myself to just using the £17.50 each month.
I top up on pay-day each month and only then if I can help it.

Yea - but I don't make that many.
I am lucky enough to work in a fairly relaxed office environment.
Also get to use the Internet at work, which explains why I am here now!

Not strictly correct - they actually give you a 10% bonus on topups of £15 or more, NOT a flat rate £2.50 (ie you'd have to topup with £25 to get a £2.50 bonus). :D
From 1st February 2006, you can get an extra 10% extra free TopUp when you TopUp with £15 or more in one transaction using your credit or debit card via TopUp Online, TopUp 2345 or TopUp Direct.

If you currently TopUp using your credit or debit card, you needn’t do anything differently – just TopUp with a minimum of £15, and your 10% extra free credit will be automatically applied.

If you don’t have a credit or debit card registered with Vodafone call 17298 free of charge to register your details.

Information on registering your credit/debit card

Once your details are registered, you can TopUp in future by calling 2345, clicking on TopUp Online, or through your handset.

Please note that electronic TopUps purchased in a store with a credit or debit card are not eligible for this offer.

To hear information about this offer, or to hear the terms and conditions, you can call 15121 free of charge at any time.

Obviously, they're trying to tempt people away from buying electronic topup vouchers because they have to pay the retailer commission which is clearly not the case if you topup with your debit or credit card
