Orange - paying £27.99

Hi,

I have been with Orange for hundreds of years now, from way back when it was Freeseve. It means I'm on an old package and currently paying £27.99 a month. This seems really expensive now against other broadband providers but I've never had an problems with them. However, my line rental is with BT, my calls are with Talk Talk and I need to reduce my costs.

I need to contact Orange for my MAC code and find another provider.

I would just appreciate any help and advice anyone can give me.
1. Finding a new provider with the transfer all done for me and is done smoothly.
2. Whether I should talk to Orange and see what they'll do for me. (Does anyone have a contact number please? ;)
3. Put my line rental and broadband with Talk Talk - I've seen they're offering a good deal at the moment but I've also seen mixed reviews on them - service etc.

Thank you.
Lorna

The first thing you should do is check your exchange to see which operators can offer a service using their rather than BT's equipment, its called Local Loop Unbundling.
These will be cheaper than ISPs who use BTs kit.
Have a look at the Orange Broadband website, you will find their current offers and contact numbers there.

  • Thanks Penrhyn!

According to that site, I only have a choice between Orange and Talk Talk. So I'll take a look at what packages Orange can offer me against Talk Talk.

    Thank you

orange now depends upon whether you are in their LLU area (dunno what that means!?).

i've been offered mobile with mins/texts and broadband for around £20, but i'm not in their LLU area so it's nearer £40. good luck and maybe let us know how you get on?

oh, you can get orange for £24 with no mobile and NO BT line cost - that's a bargain i reckon.
