Tesco's Lemon Torte
SEL £1.99 or 2 for £1.50
I know for a fact this offer worked correctly last weekend, as I bought 4!
However, today I bought 6, but the offer only discounted them to 2 for £3.
Total charge £9, should have been £4.50, giving a DTD of £9 - 6 free desserts!
It took forever for CS to work out what the correct refund should be =/
I must have been standing there 25 minutes!!0 -

Hope you didn't eat them all while you waited - this sounds a nice one indeed(from someone who's bought lemons today to make more lemon curd:D )CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

DD got dtd on a nokia 1208 today. Paid 17.97 with a "free" 10 pound top up included but elsewhere in shop spotted it at 14.65 so got 6.64 back. Excluding top up cost 1.33! I'm so proud she's learning the mse way.0

SEL £4.99 paid £5.49. Went to CS who checked shelf and came back and gave me 50p. I said I thought it was DTD and she said yes that's right but only if customers ask, we've recently changed the application of the policy. So please make sure you ask because if this if nationwide then you'll just get the difference. This was at the Meadows, Sandhurst tonight0

I too have experienced Tesco becoming more awkward regarding DTD.
I think they need to be reminded that R&R/DTD was a way to appease trading standards.
Perhaps it's time to give Asda a try!0 -
Having read the above thread Im afraid I agree with the views that everyone suggested on that message board. You could have saved the Police and yourself a lot of hassle by showing your "PROOF OF POSTAGE"
Any proof would have been better though!" :rotfl: apart from the "proof of tantrum"
Well, he asked for advise, and he certainly got it... and pretty consistant too....and most of it was politely worded! It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)
If you use the "search this thread" button at the top of the page, you may find it's been answered already!;)0 -
Just bought a pack of Irn Bru, SEL was £2.45 for six pack with 3 extra cans, went through at £2.00.0

it wouldn't have been money saving if you had been charged with wasting police time and fined for it. Sorry if that sounds a bit strong but your "I have rights so am therefore in the right" attitude has taken x amount of police away from possibly investigating something important rather than someone being too pig headed to show a receipt when asked.I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0 -
:rotfl:I take it you meant "Proof of Purchase" LOL:rotfl:

Pampers nappies (baby dry - new baby and midi size 3) carry packs were priced on the aisle at £5.98 a pack but in a promotion on the end of an aisle for £8.98 a pack or two for £13.50.
I bought 2 and was charged £13.50. Went to customer services and was initially offered them at the price on the label. I asked about dtd and she agreed to do it but definitely wouldn't have been offered, if I hadn't asked. Received £3.08 back. (SEL removed in Tesco Extra Scun thorpe)Most recent wins: IPad, Jamie Magazine yearbook, Links of London friendship bracelet, Baumatic ice cream machine! :j0
