Tesco misprices thread 9 - please only post misprices here

Options
This thread is only for posting any misprices you find at Tescos.

Please don't use this thread for discussion of the policy or any other discussions as this will detract from the actual misprices which will get lost amongst the masses of chatter.

For new readers:

For clarification SEL stands for Shelf Edge Label, R & R stands for Refund & Retain, DTD stands for Double the Difference

The Tesco policy changed on 26th February 2007 to Double the Difference back if you have been overcharged.

I have been to my local Tesco this morning and I'm glad I checked my reciept after I had paid (always do) as lots of the special offers I had seen had not been charged correctly at the till.

For example, the Pantene Ice Shine Conditioner was BOGOF £3.22 ea, but I was charged for both, Maltesers Ice Cream bars were £2.44 ea, 2 for £3 but I was charged for both, etc, etc.

The staff at Customer Services were very helpful and gave me my money back, but it took some time and I know most people don't even check their receipts, so would be paying lots more than they should have done. They said that most of the specials aren't working today! I got back a total of £13.40 on my week's shopping.

    Please check your receipts, folks!

This is my first time on this board. I have checked to see if this has already been mentioned but couldn't find it. Apologies if it has been.

poss misprice posted on shop but don't drop..thanks Zebedeee!
  • A nice new thread yay an here's to no arguing lol!!!
I had a nice dtd find today at one of our local Tesco's. My mum and myself were shoppin an we needed to buy some dog harnesses which we found on the seasonal isle which has all the pet stuff on in our local stores. Anyway they were in a box which had £2.00 printed on it but the sel had £3.00. So my mum paid for her shopping and her harness went through at £3.00 so i popped off and picked up a couple more lol and all 3 of mine went through at £3 aswell. This meant a trip to cs on our way out lol. They were only going to give us a £1 back per harness so we stood our ground and said it should be dtd with this she phoned the manager who said she had to give us dtd. She wasn't happy at this and ignored us until another cs colleague came and then she passed it all over to her as she obviously didnt have the face to back down an apologise lol!!!
So we got 4 harnesses in total for a pound each, no more slipping of collars an leads for our doggies and not expensive for us lol!!!

  • hiya made a visit to tescos today and on a big sign outside it said one third off ALL nappies we went inside and found a box of nappies with two packs of wipes inside which was £15 so with third off would have been £10 we took it to the till and paid then realised we had been charged the full amount took it to cs who then tried saying it was because it was classed as a toy box even though the toy box clearly stated it was free with the nappies, they then called over the manager who tried to say that because itsaid on the front of the box 30% saving then that is the thirdsoff even though the nappies were £15 last week before the offer started....we did not back down however and the manager afte half an hour of haggling decided it best to give us them for £10 but then we argued shouldnt we be getting dtd to which by this point he had had enough of arguing and ordered the cs lady to give us dtd so we had a toy box full of nappies for £5 result lol
