Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

never mind Christmas (gasp....can't believe I've said that.....don't strike me off) ....but it is such a beautiful spring day here. I am back to work today and looking forward to going back, I actually really love my job! (whether I am saying that at 3pm is another thing). Kids are still off today for a teacher training day, so it's just me and my web book who are up. have had a very leisurely soak in bath and read my book till I finished it, have hung out washing and watered my plants!
I'm sitting eating my toast.....need to get back into routine of not eating every 5 minutes like last week! and will head into work a bit early.Saddo!

Hope you all have a good monday!

Morning all, hope everyone is well?

I stayed up too late last night chatting! I am wrecked this morning after a horrible nights sleep.
I can't get an appointment with the doctor ... actually that is a lie I can have one at 3:10 but have to pick DS up at 3:15  (how very inconvenient of me!)
they can't book me in tomorrow because they still have an appointment for today :(

OH has gone to work with his mate, I anm expected to clean the house because apparently I do nothing ( I think he means I do everything and he no longer knows where anything is kept because he hasn't done anything for so long) and I am expected to make sure DD is ok and play with her all day and change nappies on the floor and walk into town because I can't drive (even though I can barely walk) :rotfl:

All in all a good morning! his mate who he has gone to work with has given me some ibruprofen which will last me til dinnertime ... then I have to walk the mile into town with DS to buy some more :rotfl: I give up!

I am having a bad day and am in a foul mood! :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good day :D

Rusty what can I say is... bloody men

Can you not tell the receptionist that you HAVE to see someone today and ask for a home visit cos you can't get yourself there? I know home visits are not liked by GPs but they are there to make us better so it is part of their job (in my opinion ;)). Or ask for a telephone apppointment, GP will ring you and you tell him/her directly what's going on and why you can't get to the surgery, rather than going through the receptionist.

Good luck today, sending you a huge hug and big mug of tea laced with super strong painkillers :D

Apparently they don't do home visits unless your legs have dropped off or you are dead? sounds reasonable to me lol ... not sure if they do telephone appointments but I will ring them and ask them, it has to be worth a try if just to get some strong painkillers!

    Hello to all.

Just a quickie again, haven't read the last 4 pages yet but thanked them all. I noticed that once I am logged in, the login doesn't last for more than ~ 10 minutes and even though it looks like I am logged in - the green light, I am not. I noticed this because of the "thanking" gate. :-) I thank every single post no matter what is written just because I like to thank everyone for their contribution. I love this thread. So everytime I thank a post, I now check that it was thanked. (the show me bit - hope this makes sense). :-)

Everybody - please don't forget to vote for Mel, all my fingers and toes have voted now but I am extremely busy and it takes time to keep clearing cookies, rallying my office workers and friends, and all that so please keep voting for Mel. We want her to win and be the queen of the scrapbook comp. :-)

    http://creativitylifemag.blogspot.com/

vote Melanie Marshall (currently in second place). Thank you. xxx

Mel - I will be requesting a signed copy of the mag, just because you are already a winner for me and I would be honoured to have a signed copy from you. I already have a place allocated for the framed signed copy. I am not kidding, I am deadly serious. :-) I think you are wonderful, caring and honest person and these are qualities that are hard to find these days. I am very grateful for your kind words, words of wisdom, help and support and I look forward to reading your posts (no matter what you are saying or to whom). :-) I shall be pm - ing you very soon as I lost your email addy. :-) (hanging my head in shame now.) :-)

And everyone, I love coming on here as everyone contributes with their bits and pieces, positive and negative experiences - it's very versatile and a joy to be part of as everyone is so supportive, helpful, kind and friendly.

Rusty - see the doctor please!!! Otherwise, I am coming to your place and I will give you a dose of reiki that will knock you out. :-) Really, do take care of yourself, see the doc and try to get a scan done to see what's what and you can go on from there. I am sending you my healing angels for now. Lots of love. If anything I can help with, or anything at all - please pm or anything else, I am here for you, and EVERYONE else. :-)

Lots of love. Must dash, not enough hours in the day, these days. :-)

    xxx

Nice to see you back Aurora, I love seeing your posts!! :)
I do keep voting for Mel :) and agree it does take time to clear cookies and sometimes the votes still dont count but keep going, she is worth every vote and more!

Aurora I will try and get a telephone appointment like Rainmac suggested there is no way I can walk down and to drive down would be worse, sitting in the car to pick up DS from the train station on sat whilst OH drove was very painful! plus I would have to move the car seat into my car and also lift DD in and out of the car and she isn't a light feather!
    Thankyou xxx

P.S I gave you an award for your blog ;)

I know it's hard but be a pest to the receptionist, you can't get to the surgery and need to see a doctor, go Rusty, tell them to sort it out :T

Rusty - I used to work in a pharmacy - and the amount of people who used to come in and be rather happy about the fact theyd got an appointment that day and got sorted was hilarious. Its kinda hard to get appointments at pretty much any of the doctors here.
BUT the key was - theyd ring - get told no appointments - theyd say ok i want a house visit thank you (apparently they have to visit you if you request - the amount of times the patient would then get told oh if you come down at such a time well fit you in between appointments was unbelievable - Ive done it before and got an appointment that day when 5 mins previous they where full.
Might be worth a shot - the time they offered you isnt suitable so they should at least offer you an appointment the next day

    Anyhoo
Today im being kinda naughty and doing my uni work in a sunlounger in the garden 'cause its warm :) Hoping I can do it today and then have tomorrow to mess around programming and then submit yay :D
    Happy days
I forgot to sleep last night though so im liable to fall asleep in the sun lol x
Hope everyones having a good day :)
