  • Hi everyone,

Right okay another boring morbid post......Avert eyes..

I felt really harsh with my dad last night, as a lot of people don't have anyone so i text him last night if it was okay to see him on his birthday (today)(this was all via text)
He said that i was lying about wanting to see him and that i was only doing it because i had to... I was really nice and i repeated what i had said before. He said he won't see me until the weekend because he is away. And then i said 'okay then i just wanted to give you your birthday present' to which he replied no you didn't and that he doesn't care what i think or anyone else thinks for that matter and that i should stop pretending to what him.
My mum came home from picking up the dog shortly after, i told her what had happened and she burst into tears. She told me that he had taken out £200 at Thurrock, there's old receipts we have found for lingerie from next dating back to last august..
Anyway our mortgage came out today £200 short so we have been ringing them to explain the situation, they have been really good and next payment(end of the month/beg next month) we are paying £300 less because of the circumstances.

I was furious i guessed he was with her but to use the money that keeps a roof over our heads is pathetic.. Then the last text he sent me he said he wasn't going to contact me unless i had contacted him..
So now we don't know what to do Internet will be cut off soon so i am trying to ebay items to get us more money..
I really don't know what is going to happen now.

Thank you mel for your post, i'm sorry i didn't thank before everything's so up in the air we don't know when we're coming back down.

    Congratulations Phunks

Oh no ((((Jordan)))), he really does give you guys a hard time doesnt he.Does he pay towards the bills? I'm presuming its a joint account he's taken the money out of, is there no way your mom can have it put solely into her name, or open another account & transfer all the direct debits to it so he cant take bill money out?
Personally I'd leave him to it until he can act like a Dad, the roles are very much reversed, no wonder your so mature, he acts like a kid, sulks, throws tantrums & takes no notice of his responsibilities. But I know you love him, its much easier for an outsider to say things, a lot harder to do things when your in the situation. I hope things get easier for you xx.

Congrats Phunkles - I dont do descrete very often:rotfl:

I've got £6.58 on quidco this week so shall be sending Jammy a PM.
I'm going to try & get another 10000 points on toluna, to make 60000 points & get a £10amazon voucher - would that count as the £10, or £1.66?
Also got 4p in boots points & 28 nectar points.

Well done Rusty & Rainmac on your total for the challenge so far.

Rusty, sounds like you've had a great day today, just what you both need.

  • Thanks sylph, yeah mum's been doing it all today our mortgage is now reduced to £500 (if we can afford it) The joint account is closing tonight so that's something, i didn't even wish him happy birthday today, only in his card which he won't get until he gets back to my nan's which might not happen as we think they are living together..
This is going to sound really really awful and i don't truthfully believe it so please don't be offended by it, but i wish he wasn't alive at least then i could grieve and move on right now i feel like i'm being strung along then dropped when he's bored or gets a better offer.

Sorry if i did offend anyone i hope no-one takes it the wrong way but he's just ruining everything i have.

Thank you all for being so kind

I'm in Amsterdam waiting for my connecting flight.

My grandmother's pacemaker has failed and her kidneys are shutting down. It's now a race: Easyjet, a dodgy hospital and me versus a set of 93 year old kidneys and a broken machine. Hopefully I'll win it.
