Mhagster We put our kids to bed about half past 8 last night and I laid down on the bed whilst OH cleaned DD's teeth, I was drifting just nicely then she came back in and tickled me! ... I could have quite happily stayed there for the night!

Rusty - those socks are brill - very funky design - I'm going to pop in to the pound shop while I'm in town for some socks- what do you stuff them with? I'm going to get started for christmas.
    Love your blog

Scattymam, thankyou :D ... I stuffed mine with toy stuffing which I got for £1.50 a bag in the sweing shop this stuff was just perfect where the last lot of stuff I had wasn't as good so I think she has sat and seperated it all out ready and puffed it up so she can fill a bag and make some profit, but why not if she has put the effort in ... I will go back for some more soon as this stuff was brilliant. I know a few of the girls have used smartprice pillows and cut them open to stuff animals and also pillows from Ikea, I just used proper stuffing as it was more convenient for me to walk to town and get it rather than drive to Asda or all the way to Ikea :)

Get on with making a blog, I love doing mine .... I am remembering to update it everyday if not several times a day :)

Errr, yes you can missus Rusty and you have, your card for the challenge is fantastic :T The square around album was easier than the box cos you just folded 12x12 papers and stuck them together. I like easy ;)

Love your sock monsters, they are fantastic, your monsters will love them :T

Thankyou ... I doubt I could do one of them square around cards, I loook at the instructions then panic!! I struggle with normal cards where I just used to stick things on and hope they looked pretty :rotfl: I too like easy but they are definately not for me ... not yet anyway!

My monsters have been running round with their monsters all morning ... they have no eyes and no mouths!! although they don't seem to care, my daughter has fed hers breakfast, a cup of tea and even tried to give it a dummy!!!
They are now safely removed til I have sorted eyes out ;)

Hope everyone is ok, higs to all of those who need them:)

    Consider yourself stalked rainmac :rotfl:.

I ended up helping arrange the brides bouquet last night and rolled 80 napkins for the tables. Fortunately I didn't get roped in to tie ribbons as I'm rubbish :o.

Have sorted the rest of my outfit for later need to bath and get dressed and check if I need to take any emergency supplies with me :rotfl:.

I got ot of setting the room up as I was late :o. Was really happy that the bride loved her basket and card :D.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Wow Rusty your sock monsters are fab!!! They make a really funky change to the monkeys:T:T:T I haven't got my crafting head on at all at the moment- haven't made any monkeys for yonks!!! Had a nappy cake ordered yesterday so will try and make that today or tomorrow.

Rainmac - you make such lovely thoughtful gifts I expect your Mum will be chuffed :T

I think I will give the blogging a miss because I spend too much time on here and facebook anyway and I am trying to break the addiction:rotfl::rotfl:

If I miss anyone out I'm sorry but I'm still trying to remember everyone :D

I was going to attempt a crafty something for MIL but she said yesterday that she would really like a herb planter and if I saw one would I let her know. So will buy her one for mothers day instead. Now just got to think of something for my mum and my nan.

Really looking forward to another family day with hubs and my boys. Boys are having their haircuts, visiting nan, going to Mcdonalds and then taking the dog down the beach. Late afternoon and evening we are going to have some games on the Wii (i'm ashamed to say my Wii fit has still not been used )

Hope everyone has a lovely day :D

Hello everyone, I have been reading your thread for a little while and have posted a few times. I am a scrapbooker and love to make gifts when I can. I made my OH a knee high sock monkey for valentines day. It will be my babies first birthday on Tuesday and I am looking for inspiration for a card. I am not a card maker and just can't think where to start and what I need. I have the card and an envelope and thats it  We are having a cowboys and indians party so I might stick with the theme, hmmm needs some thinking about.

Anyway I am hoping to try and contribute more to the thread and try to be as thrifty as possible with presents this year. I did a good shop during the boots 75% off sale so I am well stocked!

Purplegirluk I will join you on being more thrifty with pressies :D
Does anyone have any advice for me on using Quidco etc as I haven't got a clue and as I am being very money conscious these days I've cut right back on spending and don't tend to buy much online these days ?

Its amazing really how much I used to waste on non essentials. I'm lucky we have quite a good income but we also have a big outgoings so we are trying our hardest not to be wasteful.

Last year I made lots of hampers and homemade gifts but really need inspiration this year:o

Yes I have done hampers and I don't want to over do them incase I get a brilliant idea for one.

I have just had a though and need to pick a crafty brain, I like the idea of having messages from the party guests at my LO's party tomorrow. I could buy a book and get them to write in that but I was thinking of something I could use to journal in a scrapbook. Maybe papers cut out in the shape of a 1. My problem is its tomorrow and I decide I want to do this now!!! So I could see if I can buy a large 1 die for my big shot but thats pretty unlikely that the one shop I can get to will have one. Any other ideas? Thanks!!

Here's my mam's mothers day memory jar - finished decorating the outside but have loads of photos to add and lots of memories to write in. I wrote in a lot of memories in the tag book that is the tall book that is in the jar.

and some of the things I put inside - the scroll is a letter mam wrote me when I was a teenager about how excited she was to have a daughter.
