how do you know if someone is on 02 or

any other mobile operator without asking them...? anyone know if there is a website or other that tells you...?

    Can sometimes tell by the numbers prefix, problem is, Numbers are ported in and out of networks so many times, Other than that, No, No way to tell. T-mobile had an intranet system where we could tell if a number was On-Net or Off-Net, Problem was if the number was ported it didnt work.

    You can tell from which Network the number originated from,but not what network it is on now.

    If the number started its life on a virtual network eg Tesco it will just show that it originated from its main network. (o2 in this example).
  • Hi. There's a company called NQuire who provide the solution but it's part of a broader range of products aimed at telecoms companies. I don't reckon anyone would be offering it for free to consumers, it looks quite expensive!
