I'd suggest going with someone older (preferably a parent) to the first bank you opened an account with and demanding to talk to someone about this, as it looks like some sort of mix up. If there is something irregular happening they should tell you.

If not, do as others have suggested and contact Experian etc and point out you are under 18 and should not have a credit reference.

In that case, I'd suggest that the OP try and contact Experian etc, however I highly doubt anything will be on there, as the banks would have committed a crime if they reported anything to the CRA.
  • ok will do this tomorrow, I'm 17

Ok matey, this is what you need to do; as you are under legal age for voting and being bound to a legal contract such as a credit agreement - just to clarify you are under 18 right? If so you need to obtain your credit files from all three agencies; Call Credit, Experian and Equifax, look at what ever you get through the post and if there is any data on there you must contatct the CRA and tell them that you are under the legal age for credit products and they must remove any data ASAP.
  • what do u mean??

Well from what I read here it sounds like a spell of fraud; if anybody has used the OP's details - even changing the D.O.B, there will be "some" maybe even attributable data there to check - just in case.;)

    Totally agree.

The weird thing is the accounts get opened, then closed. It all points at something untoward being on there though.

What I mean is that if a family member or friend - or not has used your name to try and or successfully obtain credit by means of fraud, not trying to scare you but you need to rule this out from the equation just in case.
Do as I have said and contact the CRA, make sure your Mam or Dad is helping you with this one, ask them to come on here to assist you as there are plenty of knowledgeable folk on this forum who can help you out.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

I don't see how someone could apply for credit in your name if you're only 17 in the first place. Maybe you've been flagged with fraud, which there may be a separate law on this being shown to companies when you apply for products, but as I'm aware now, things such as active accounts and searches aren't showed until your 18th Birthday.
  • It is highly unusual IMO for a young person to have so many bank accounts and a NS&I account.
One or two yes but here you seem to have an awful lot.
Personally I don't think its anybody using your account for fraud but they have suspicions about transactions and this looks like its been investigated and possibly a CIFAS marker on your file even if you are 17 (or is it a lot older).
If you have been investigated no bank will tell you - because that would be tipping you off which in itself is a criminal act.
    I would be worried!
