My mate says theres a new iphone coming out in june ? just wanna no if anyone else can confirm this

There are some rumors, but I think it be announced in June relaese for Christmas.

Apple traditionally announce these things at big press conferences. The Iphone V2 was announced at the apple developers worldwide conference.

However as Steve Jobs is ill and not doing so much of the day to day public image of Apple thyere was comment they will stop the Keynote event speached when they have traditionally announced new products or upgrades to product.

However June sounds right to get the hype up for the Xmas market. But given the prior iphone and ipod sales, don't expect any discounting to happen. Discounting is something Apple almost never does on new kit.

Steve Jobs health might push the release back a while, It it'll probably be expensive as hell.

The Apple WWDC '09 will take place in June. There is a 'keynote' address at these conferences, during which new hardware/software is normally announced. At last year's, the iPhone 3g was announced, which came out about a month later.

A new iPhone is strongly rumoured - I'm keeping my eye out for O2 starting to discount the existing model - this was the clue last time.

Not up to O2 though, Apple could decide to keep it at full RRP if they wanted
