  • Oh well, didn't get too far with the list today but I did bake fairy cakes and biscuits with my niece and DD1. DD2 helped by munching on a cake while we were trying to ice them. IMHO I think that rates better than crossing another job off the list!!!:D

Unfortunately its now time to start on my ironing mountain. 45 minutes then I'm giving up and watching Shameless in bed.

Mummyof5....if your ceilings are too low we've got this one for DD1.

(sorry don't know how to rename the link)
Its quite expensive though. We only got it as my Grandad gave me some money, got 30% off it, then my 20% staff discount then another 10% special money off voucher so it worked out OK.

    See you all tomorrow. x

I've a meeting tomorrow afternoon and need to get plenty of figures done too so I've edited the list a bit for me. Not sure I'll get all of this done either but it gives me something to aim for at least.

If I get some proper work done on the laptop now I will have more time tomorrow!

Dust mantle and polish all the trinkets upon it.. and get all the junk off it!

Good evening flyers, cleaning plans were in a bit of jeapardy as I go thome late and had a terrible headache but..... seeing as it's only my second day I've managed to spur myself on to do a couple of things and now the bedroom is looking much better than it normally would on a Tuesday night! The poor landing has been a bit neglected though!

Progress..... Twinkly Tuesday - Master bedroom & Landing
    Level One
Strip bed and wash sheets/duvet cover
    [STRIKE]Clear the floor of gibble[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    Clear the landing of detritus
    [STRIKE]Vacuum these floors[/STRIKE]
Wash the windows (and any curtains/nets the need doing)
    Level Three
    37 fling boogie!!
    Empty upstairs bins
[STRIKE]Make sure all the smoke alarms are working and if you have high sleepers you should have alarms in those rooms too.. make appointments with the fire safety people if you don't and they fit really good ones free of charge!![/STRIKE]
    Extras
    1. List 5 things on ebay!
    2. Make sure all the school coats/bags etc are washed ready for school on Monday
    3. dust away all the webs upstairs!
    4. Sort out your airing cupboard!
So I don't feel I've done that well, but I figure that it will take a couple of runs through the flylady routine to get to a stage where nothing ever gets too bad......what do you think?

Anyway - onwards and upwards for tomorrow
Everything will be ok in the end, if everything's not ok then it's not the end :)

Thanks for the link Valli... it makes me realise what a well-balanced & friendly lot we are on here :D . A lot of the other threads seem to have a lot of badly-informed people making sweeping statements who are completely unable to accept that a. someone else might have a different opinion or b. they might actually be wrong occasionally...

Having said that, clearly I'm ALWAYS right ;)

Off to do the ironing now... reading the slanging match has delayed me :o

I'm ashamed (Yeah - right!) to admit that in a bored moment at the weekend I snuck into that thread and fanned the flames a little - mainly it must be said to grab the chance to tell them what a bunch of *searches for suitable word that will get through the filters OK* they were being.....! :rotfl: Honestly - it's been running on and on for days and they just keep bickering away about the same old arguments! I do like a spot of fishing at the weekend, especially when the little fishies are QUITE so keen to bite! ;) h dear, I'll go to a bad place!

Will return in a minute when I've found my list from yesterday....
