Hope your headache goes soon SM. Have a look online about pressure point's, I find this really helps mine, but it's too hard for me to try and explain where they areBest if you google it and there would prob be an illustration!

All done
Are we going to see pics of your bedroom when it's done (or at least a tally of the number of items flung during the process!)
rosepink - they will have taken the money on the last banking day before the 16th, so it probably went out of your account on Friday. I got paid on Friday as it was the last banking day before the 15th, which is my normal pay day.

Hi all, I'm in...
Have just watched 'Forbidden Kingdom' with DS as a treat... was brilliant (the one with Jet Li and Jackie Chan), really enjoyed it, great fun...
I have done sweet bu88er all today - literally, nothing, nada, zilch, I am soooo tired, but it has probably done me good and I will be raring to go next week (I can live in hope...)...
froddington wrote: »Spirit - you have achieved a lot so well done! I have a spare room like yours  I do a bit at a time (this week I just sorted a box of books and the top drawer of the filing cabinet) and it does make a difference. I have to remember that it's 10 years worth of clutter and mess so it'll take a while to sort it all!SpiritoftheSouthWest wrote: »greenbee - I am afraid I am a technophobe I don't know how to copy. Better ask later lol

Hi, new girl here! Well, it's been about two years - I'm so glad to see the thread still here and pigpen has taken over! You were pretty prolific at the time
I need to get into a routine again as I get a bit down in the winter and tend to sit and look at the mess. Determined to finish level 2 and also get the kickboards and doors wiped, the kickboards are yucky looking.

Hi all - in for the week plus knitting!¬ lol
Was knitting when you posted Toots on t'old thread...back of blue cardi finished ***glow*** so 2 fronts 2 sleeves band to do.
44 rows pattern plus 18 rows for the bottom bit that I can't remember the name of (K1 P1) - and I know it has a proper name
***grumps off like grumpy old forgetful woman***
am posting 44 rows pattern as I haven't written it down ... it's a pretty 4 row, 5 stitch pattern.
DD is well impressed , offered to knit a few for me (no way - she can't knit...I will teach her and we'll start with stocking stitch) and has asked me to knit a layette (my word not hers) for her baby. This is a good move...if I start now I might manage this one :rotfl: she's13...mind you...)
Dining room? - good one - 'tis HOTSPOT HELL that room - and DD has been up the woods on her bike and brought me free soil samples - so a level 1 in their should do it.
Aiming for 5 stars this week Tootti and some proper HHKs with you!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

When we got home from Mum's I went online to do some online banking - to move some money from my account into our joint account as the rent is due this week. Anyhoo, when I went to the joint account we are £49 over our overdraft limit. Which means a £30 fine. The rent went out early, either yesterday or the day before (it doesn't show up transactions that are that recent, only the amount of money in the ac). Are they supposed to do that? Our rent is due on the 18th, it goes by standing order, and they normally take it on the 16th. Are they allowed to come and take it early without any warning? I really want to go down to the lettings agency tomorrow and demand they pay the charges we are going to incur. Or is it a bank error?
HEEEEELLLLLPPPPP! I was so proud that this was going to be the first month we won't get any charges as I have taken over the banking (OH being useless at money and always going over our overdraft limit).
 GRRRRRRR AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH GRRRRRRRRRR
I just sneezed so forcefully I feel like my throat has ruptured! Blows nose
No, they shouldn't take it early - if due to come out on the 16th, it would come out of your account at 00:01 tomorrow (or whatever time your bank take DD's/SO's out.)
As it's not showing the amount, are you sure there isn't another DD due and that is what has happened? Do you have telephone banking? it might be worth a ring to ask them why you have gone over, as if it is your rent, you can question it and may not get charged.
I would transfer your money anyway and give them a call to check, at least you will know then...LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

Direct Debits (DD) are claimed by the other company. They tell you how much they are going to claim and when, giving at least 14 days notice of any change to amounts claimed.
Standing Orders (SO) are instructions you give to the bank to pay a person or company a set amount on a set date each week or month (can be quarterly etc as well).
With both if the due date falls on a non working day ie a Sat/Sun or Bank Holiday then payment will be made (or attempted) on the next working day.
Generally credits are processed before debits so any inward payments to your account should hit first with payments out being taken after. These can be processed over the weekend but will always show the next working date on your statement. Some banks do give you time to pay in during the day any unauthorised overdraft is created, if that is so there will be a cut off time so make sure you check.
Internal transfers between accounts usually happen immediately so if your sole nd joint accounts are at the same place you should be ok. HTH
ETA Wage credits are the general exception to the rule! Where pay day falls on a non working day wages are usually credited to the account on the last working day prior to pay dayOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0
