As for the bedroom - before I went to bed this morning I emptied out the 2 under-the-bed storage boxes and reorganised them and put what I wont use aside for selling! all the major work that can be done has been - it just needs a normal clean and hoovering!

Well done you - I always forget to sort out the drawers. Out of sight, out of mind and all that.

  • Kitchen floor scrubbed so I'm DONE :D:D:D Made apple and cinnamon muffins as well - yummy!

Just got a text from my friend asking me to go out tonight. Not sure i'm really in the mood, but it'll be fun I guess. Ahh have to make dinner now! And decide what to wear... ach.

  • Now...given the recent news item about the 12yr old procreating with a 15yr old.... if he is staying over, should I let him sleep in the same room as her, which is what they've always done? DD1 is 11 (12 next month ) and he's 12. :confused:HELP

If anything happened, not only would you blame yourself for letting them sleep in the same room, but so would his parents and the whole world via the media.
I would err on the side of caution. If you have more than one child how about a "camping trip" in the LR - all the kids in the same room. I can't imagine they would want to experiment with someone watching! sleeping bags on the floor, midnight (or 8pm!) feast that you aren't supposed to know about... we always had midnight feasts when our friends came over, but we usually ate all the sweets by 7pm as we couldn't wait til midnight and didn't want to get up then anyway!
It's a tricky one, and you know your kids best so I'm sure you will do the best thing.

  • Ohh, what happened? I love DM as it's so easy to watch, same as murder she wrote - nothing to think about, you know the result before it's finished and easy watching when you want to switch off your brain... PM me with what happened, just looked on iplayer and it's not there (why do they pick and choose what they will put on there? )
Steve Sloan got a new partner who was having drink problems. The New Partner (NP) thought his wife and daughter had been kidnapped by a man he put in prison and who had been released and threatened them all. Nobody believed NP, they thought wife had run away as he was a bad husband. He and Steve got put in a rehab unit for policemen as Steve shot someone. Anyway, eventually it turns out that NP had killed his wife and daughter and had repressed the memory and the rehab unit was made up to try to get him to remember. It was sad. He really loved them and desperately wanted them back. Unfortunately, he had caught his wife in bed with the man he put in prison and then his daughter had come in and was killed by the wife's lover, so NP shot wife and lover.
Bit complicated! I thought it was sad. All for a moments madness he killed the people he loved most.

    1. HHI- what is this please????? I can't do it as I don't know what it is and I soo want to get a star today.....
I think, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that extras are extra, and you don't have to do them to get a star. Is that right?

ETA (what does ETA mean - everyone posts it when they edit?) Sorry Julie, just seen you posted this already. I'm posting as I read the thread today as too tired to write it all down and do a big post. About to read page 17 now.
