Lil-me.. I got my new lappy yesterday and have spent 2 hours yesterday and the last 3 hours setting it up.. anti-virus done, internet took about 3 seconds! literally!.. erm.. other than that I've been fiddling with settings and display and colour and I think I'm going to have to set up some other kind of email because I can't get it to filter the family email.. and I NEED outlook and I still have office to install (there's another 3 hours!) I am also going to keep AL the college stuff on googledocs so I can access it without having to update 3 machine (this one the one downstairs and the college one)

I am just glad to have a keyboard that the keys actually recognise when they have been pressed.

I need a mouse for it though I can't do this stoooopid touchpad thing so I'm getting a squeaker tomorrow.

Best get out of bed then!

Triker.. I got my cooker from co-op electrical (quidco!!) they were great.. delivered earlier than they said but on the correct day, phoned to let me know they had received my order and it was in stock ready to deliver. Jualdomestics were fabulous too and a fair bit cheaper. I got my freezer from tribaluk.. they were good and helpful on the phone and delivered mine within 48 hours.

My Sam (who is 5) just read (all by himself) that today we clean his room. He would like a nice shiny purple star so he is going to clean his bedroom floor now.

Well went on longer than I thought as MIL (lives next door) came back from a friends house and we got chatting - think I probably could've got the car hoovered out in the HHC if it hadn't been for that. So, car is now nicely hoovered out and looking sparkly inside.

Ebony is being very affectionate today - must be the weather (spring time etc). It's a lovely day here with lots of sunshine - bedroom window is still open, and I went outside to do the car in just a t-shirt, jeans and flipflops as it's so warm. MIL had a bodywarmer coat on and said I must be warm!

Another things that I freecycled yesterday is being picked up today after 4pm, so that'll be another thing out. Put something in the recycling bin a minute ago (shopping list from inside the car) and the bin is full to the brim, so OH must have been working hard. Just noticed he's put "60+ done" next to the instruction to put out 27 bits of paper. I think secretly he's enjoying it, and the list is helping him to focus.

Glad to hear you're doing well LadyL. Enjoy your film, and glad to hear that DH is doing so well with the housework. Is it time for his afternoon nap yet? lol

Phoned the school who have just advertised to see if there was anyone in that could send me the application, but there wasn't, so will have to wait til Monday I suspect. I'm not supplying til the afternoon, and hopefully will have heard for definite about the other job that may not be suitable for NQTs by then. I think that the head of that school (NQT?) is also head of the Junior school next door who used to use me for supply very regularly last term - I taught in every class bar 2, so that may go in my favour.

Here is my updated list (have put OH's tasks in a different colour so I don't get confused about what tasks I have left to do):

Friday funtime and frolics! - Random rooms!
    Level One
[strike]Air the bed in the master bedroom and remake it[/strike]
OH to sort through all his clothes that no longer fit or are dead (on his list and a charity bag arrived this morning) Have put a few of mine in to start him off
    Level two
Sort through a shelf of books or a box of stuff and see what needs to be binned and what can be rehomed (OH's list - 27 pieces of junk out)
    [strike]Wash the car windows[/strike]
[strike]Hoover out the car's shelves and flat furry spaces[/strike]
    Level three
Gather up ALL the dirty laundry and put it in the wash 1load in wash, 1 to go
[strike]Get uniforms and bags etc ready for school next week![/strike]
    Vacuum the floor!
    Extras
    1. Wipe all the sticky paintwork and walls
    2. Sit and watch a film together! Like a family!! no friends, noone escaping..
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
