Karcher Pressure washer

I am looking for a pressure washer for general garden use ie patio/slabs/blockpaving/ and car chassis, can anyone recommend a model that will cover all those jobs and is reasonably priced, any help would be much appreciated.

They have Karcher special on the home page, right hand side.

It is difficult to say what model might best as they seem to introduce different models every month or so.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
  • I bought one of them from Ideal world and to be honest it's not as good as my old Karcher. The new ones appear to be very light weight and parts which were once brass are now plastic.

But the model does the job.

Depends on look at it. Same price they just give you a few extras.

  • Wow lots of advise ..... LPM (Litres per minute) thats the important bit. PSI (pounds per square inch) there all about 1200psi, but a prof' machine runs at 18-20 LPM where as your DIY machines run at 6-8LPM. Now compare filling a bath at 8 ltrs per minute and the same with 18LPM. Most are restricted by the power supply. 13amp 240 volt IY machines are not designed to run for long periods and the working end (nozzles) tend to break first. Petrol power give you bigger/better power and LPM, but more expensive. Look at the specs and go for larger LPM, and larger Kw motor. Karcher do a vast range, the Wickes one isn't bad. Machine Mart are OK, Pay well get better (normally) Also worth looking at Argos type outlets where there is a no quibble warranty as most DIY'ers tend tio use these units for far too long per session.
PS avoid running these unit for long periods without the trigger being open. Water running through the pump keeps it cool

Aldi sell rebranded karcher pressure washers every so often - probably will next come round in Spring. Here's the last one.
