AOL Flexi - No minimum term/no cancellation fees - opinions?

Thinking of changing from Sky (no problems with it just am sick of paying £17.99 a month for their Access Broadband. I am in a LLU enabled area, but can't receive the o2 customer package of £7.99 p/m 'cos I'm too far from the exchange. My neighbour 4 doors up can though  )
I used to be on dial-up years ago with AOL and didn't have any problems, plus I really like their GUI ..... so I guess, what I'm asking is - are their any pitfalls to this new Flexi Package?
NO Minimum term contract
NO Cancellation Fee
£29.99 joining fee
£4.99 per month for first 3 months
£14.99 per month thereafter
FREE wireless kit to get you started
(so basically £15 per month as long as you stay for at least 3 months)
Has anyone any experience of it?

Not heard of it.
Have you checked which LLU operators are in your exchange, check on Samknowss.
The too far from the exchange for an LLU operator to give you a service is rubbish.
Its more likeley that they don't have any spare capacity.
BTW What is your downstream line attenuation and sync speed.

Thanks.
Your downstream speed is 3.328Mbps, the line attenuation is 47db, and your noise margin is 9.7db.
With that attenuation you should be going faster in fact 6-7Mbps should be possible.
Its possible that your internal wiring is a problem, you should try connecting to the test socket behind the master sockets faceplate.
If you get an improvement then chances are its a problem with your extensions, removing the bell wire pin 3 should improve things.

Back to the original point I see no reason why you should not be able to change ISP to O2 and get an improved service.
Ther is a website https://www.o2user.co.uk that may be able to help as well. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

To be fair to Be it's in their Ts & Cs they don't offer their product if line length is over 5.5 km https://www.bethere.co.uk/generalFAQ.do#faq9
Whether o2 are the same for their LLU is another matter.“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0 -
With the ops attenuation of 49db he would only be about 3.5 Km from the exchange, thats why I asked for the router statsThat gum you like is coming back in style.0
