Blank Screen on D500

My screen on my D500 has gone blank, is there anything i can do to make it re-appear?
I can make and recieve calls, so the phone works, just that i cant see any info on the screen.
A thankyou is payment enough .

    When you say blank I'm assuming it's gone white and not turned off completely. I don't you can do anything about this yourself. I think it might be a problem with the firmaware on the phone. Unless the phone is still under warranty give a few repair shops a call, they can be pretty good at giving you a ballpark figure on a how much it will cost

    Remove battery for a mo then stick back in and turn on.

    Its not gone white, but a shade of grey:(, and not under warranty.

    it will almost certainly be the ribbon cable
    ive repaired loads of these with same problem
    ribbon is about £5 but it is very easy to break the ribon clamp and you cannot get spare ones so be very careful if your going to do it yourself
