I ordered my new mobile from onestopphoneshop just over two weeks ago. I did my research online and found the deal I wanted. When I called to ask a few questions I decided I wanted to go ahead. However, I mentioned several times to the sales assistant that I could get £20 if I ordered online and used an affiliate website (like rpoints or quidco). The sales person confirmed that he would send me £20 worth of high street vouchers with 14 days of ordering.
It is now 14 days after I ordered so I sent an email to onesstopphoneshop chasing my vouchers. Their reply states that they will not send vouchers it is not part of their policy. As this was part of the deal that I ordered by telephone how do I stand? The £20 was not part of the mobile contract and was thrown in as an extra by the sales person to ensure that he got his commision for selling to me (rather than me ordering online). What do you think? I have sent an email back explaining that it was part of the verbal contract agreed on the phone...

    hai,
onestopphoneshop are notorious for not doing the things which are part of contract. if you browse through the chat boards here, you will see that there are lot of people who are cheated by them(i am one of them). They do not send the refunds, money back as they promise. Some poster was recommending going to small claims court to get their money back. If they are not sending what the contract states, i doubt very much that they will honour your verbal contract. I wish, all the sufferers form a forum and fight against the company.
I am not suggesting that you should not pursue the matter - it is going to be a hard bargain from them.
    Best of luck.
  • Did they give you the "this call may be recorded for blah, blah, blah..." when you called? Ask them to dig out the records of the conversation, and add that if they don't, your solicitor will when it goes to court. Might work?

I was in the same boat, but decided to go through Quidco anyway! Mind you, that was on Tuesday, and no sign of the phone yet!

Has anybody actually ever had next day delivery from these people? Mine took 10 days from online order to receipt - which was then of the wrong phone on a different contract and without accessories.

They seem to use the 'contract is subject to change and dependent on the time your order is processed' in their T&C to wriggle out of offers they don't want to supply.

As there is such a lot of negative feeling towards OSPS evident in the online forum, it might be time for more public criticism of the company - ie something Martin might like to take up - CPW and E2Save which OSPS is a part of seem a lot more sorted out than this company. As a market leader I wouldn't have though CPW would try to run kicking and screaming from any connection to dodgie sales people and poor aftersales service.

There is a contact address for Charles Dunstone on one of the cashback problem threads should you wish to complain to someone more effective than customer services.
I do hope you're telling the truth?
