OOooooh, maybe....(lol!) It was Colchester, which is not my local, but I "go forth and boots", whenever I am able to........
I was very pleased to have found a bargain, as you often miss all the good clearance in non local stores...well I do...
usually I need bargain corner sat nav...not today though :D .

Hope this helps any local bootsters though. :)
There were at least 100 No7 gwp's on display, above the No7 counter... so boots need/ want to clear them.
I think this explains the perkie being given out so soon after the last No7 voucher.

The one day I'm too unwell to want to go out - even had an afternoon nap  PLUS didn't fancy a glass of wine last night  must have been ill!! and I miss the huge bargains instore!

Well done for nabbing them! :D

I am now up to date with the thread, but feel the need to have a moan about a mardy SA from the other day (last day of hairies/blinkies/P&P glitch), before heading out to try and grab the glitches you have all kindly mentioned.

So my moan...... I was trying to get my 3rd free P&P handcream of the day :D along with a few other items that I had ACM vouchers and other money off vouchers for, I was stood there with vouchers ready in my hand, and the daft woman says "are you using some vouchers?"..mmmm I thought for a moment... considered replying with 'what do you reckon?!?!' but calmly replied, 'yes - thanks' and handed them over. I had arranged them in order so as points were scanned first, P&P next then the new No7 voucher, but she decided to lay them all out, start scrutinising them all, and then slowly considered scanning them. She scanned the No7 one first, and scribbled whatever all over it, then she looked at the P&P voucher, and said I couldn't use them together. I politely said 'are you sure? its just I have before - they are totally different vouchers can you not try?', but she said, "no - we are not allowed" and promptly referred me to the T&Cs on the purplie saying not in conjunction with any other voucher. So, i thought ok, fair enough, but all other vouchers should be fine, as they are for different items, so i asked her to take the P&P voucher (rather than the No7) one as that ran out that day. She was ok with that, but then started looking at my ACM voucher and said I couldn't use it as it had been printed from a different store - the little code above the bar code is seemingly the store code. She said I could only use it in the store I had printed it from. At this point I was starting to get a bit narked (can you tell?) and responded "well thats ridiculous, I have no idea which store that was, it could be one of several - its been in my purse for a few weeks!". She was still having none of it, now saying I had to use it on the same day, which I said i thought only applied to the total spend vouchers, but I could see we were not going to agree and she wouldn't budge on it so I told her to forget the lot and give me my coupons back.

I left the store - oh, somewhere in that she also told me I couldn't use the hairy on the JF serum  - and went back about half hour later and used the SS tills instead. The mardy SA was not on the tills anymore, but I felt safer this way! The young girl who had served me with no question of refusing any vouchers prior to the 'incident' was manning the SS tills, and on my first round she started to say she was giving me some more vouchers as she could see I was spending more than £5, but then saw I was using another voucher, so stopped. I just smiled at her, and carried on with transaction 2 and 3 - each being P&P handcream, JF serum and olay cleanser! Pennies to pay and a grand stash of goodies!

Just wondering if anyone else has ever been refused the use of an ACM voucher due to it being printed in another store, or printed on a different day  - SS till took them fine, so I think it was just that particular SA being difficult, but if anyone else has had this before please do tell!!

    thanks sandra:A

i wasn't sure if this was an 'offer' as such that u had to mention in specific, or had an 'expiry' date or something that could be done at any time IYKWIM! I get nervous approaching these counters as i feel they look down their nose at me:(

The "previous me" has to agree with you, but you need tactics if they look snooty. The first time I approached a counter I said "As you can see, I am in dire need of help for my complexion. Is there any way you could advise or assist me please, or is not really worth me bothering about - now".

    Well, there's a challenge!!!

I think at some point, most of us have been refused the use of ACM vouchers for various reasons. Some SA's just like being difficult because they don't want you to get a bargain, while others are just badly trained and make-up the rules as they go along:rolleyes: Having said that though, the majority of SA's are very good and will let you get away with using lots of vouchers - if they scan, they will accept them:D If a SA refuses my vouchers, I tend say "I will leave it then" and go to another SA. 9 times out of 10 the next SA will take all my vouchers:D It's a bit hit and miss:)

There's a lovely older SA in my local store. She loves it when I get stuff for free with vouchers. She's always telling me how she only ever uses her vouchers on the free items. I know for a fact she has copied my transactions on more than one occassion, bless her:rotfl:

The SA said they had 'loads' in the stock room, so might still be some about. All the shelves where the accessories should have been were totally clear! I almost missed them too, as I was leaving the store and hadn't bought anything. It will be open today, I think, so if you pop in quick they may still be there. People may not realize that you can get 5 for a perkie...unless they read this thread. ;)

SandraScarlet...you make me laugh...and you always seem to pick up some lovely bargains, whilst having fun along the way. :)

Yes, I have :D There was something I particularly wanted, but was refused for the reasons you've mentioned. This entailed me trailing across town to return to a store that I'd just left - a store that I didn't particularly want to return to.

I was a total novice at the time - meaning I didn't read this thread much ;) and as coincidence would have it, saw the same complaint had been mentioned. So I was on the blower asking if the SA was right. She wasn't, and I think I was awarded 500 points for my trouble.

But if you take the route I took in contacting CS, I'd delete the part of your post where everything other than the refusal of the ACM voucher is mentioned, because Boots staff do read these threads.

    Hth :)

Popped into Preston Boots ( the one in town ) & got a Boots Mediterranean gift bag for £3.24 - it contains one full size Almond & Pistachio body butter, one full size Olive, Orange & Bergamot body butter & one small size Olive, Orange & Bergamot body butter. There were about 4 sets left & they are at the back of the store on the right hand side at the bottom.

I also got the Olay definity cleanser & the free Olay gwp.

Thanks to everyone who posts bargaings here. I am becoming more of an boots addict everyday. I am not sure if this has been mentioned here before but i went to fosse park yesterday and noticed the He conditioners were BOGOF. But there were some twin packs as well for the same price as the single ones £2.92 which were BOGOF too. So it was like buy one get 3 free. Shame the 100 points offer has ended otherwise it would have been an even better bargain. So i did a coupe of transcations to make the total over £5 and gained a few perkies. Clearance was rubbish there. Olay GWP went fine with Olay definity scrub pore thingy.
