Haven't posted for ages but have tried to keep up with the thread, and having realised the 2 wrinkles I had (1 my own spend, 1 thanks to someone at work who left it in the staff room :A) and the vouchers I got sent run out very soon I trawled the thread today and then went Bootsing big time after work. Last time I went was on change over day at the end of January and used last of old No7 vouchers on P+P handcream when I realised I could get it free and a few other bargains so 4 weeks on I needed it.

    Shop 1 (I *needed* a perkie ;))
Olay self heating skin exfoliator - £6.84
Umberto Giannin Spa Rituals - £4.88
    NC Cupcake - 61p

Used wrinklie and hair voucher so £5.33 to pay
Then 100 extra points NC, 150 extra points for UG from ACM and150 I got in my mailing (someone posted using these together earlier so thanks)
    and 4 normal points

    Shop 2:
3 lots of vitamins and 3 lots of toothpaste both on 3for2 = 10.28 and 3.22 respectively
olay and NC cupcake again as above
    Trevor sorbie shampoo £4.69
    Then p+p handcream and 2 x no7 gentle renewing exfoliator - total 18.60
    GWP

    Then gave in:
£2.50 off when you spend £10 on healthcare
    £5 wrinklie
    £2 hairie
    £5 ACM P+P voucher
£5 perkie (that I'd just earnt)

Total was £24.74 so the lady said if I got something to take it to £25 I could save £5 as that store was doing them - didn't think it would scan so didn't bother giving it over but got a creme egg for OH who was waiting out in the car :A so add that and got another £5 off.

    New total £20.19
Normal points 60, extra 80, then 150 points mailing for buying vitamins, 150 ACM for shampoo, 150 points from mailing for spending over £20 (probably should have tried total spend one from machine for £35 spend but didn't think to print it off) and 100 NC.

    Final transaction:
    Olay, Trevor Sorbie Conditioner, cupcake.
    Again £2 off, £5 off - vouchers I'd earnt in 1st transaction
    150 extra points TS, 100 - NC, 4 normal
    Pay £5.14

    So today spent: £30.66
Saved: 45.25 (and whatever full price of cupcake was)
    Total points: 1298

So Boots Logic total is: £17.68 and I got a GWP too which I actually really like.

    And have a GWP, 2 x Wrinklies/Hairies and 2 x Perkies - might have to make a trip back tomorrow now ;)

The shop had Sanctuary green body wash for 55p but decided I didn't need it really and was too concerned about using up my vouchers.

Thanks so so much for posting all your finds, hints and tips on the forum everyone - all of the above was possible because people had mentioned reduced things so I went and searched out the SELS and ACM vouchers etc.

Sorry for the really long post but I wanted to show my appreciation :T:T

Oh and forgot to say after all the nasty SAs people have experienced I have to say the one who served me was brilliant - put through all my vouchers, suggested I 'top up' to get the £5 off (and SA next to her was doing the same too) and I kept apologising for wanting seperate transactions and she said don't worry and was really pleased with all my bargains - makes a nice change.

  • Went out and lol visited Mr B again! Finally got rid of the £2 haircare vouchers (nearly as have a very few left)... didn't want say 'got rid of my hairies!!!' :rotfl: :o :rotfl: Purchased the JF serum @ £1.95 as was not going to spend n e more on haircare items!!! Was unable to, again, use the wrinklies as no Olay face cream/TD Moisturisers...

Also the SS tills were not working!!! And I had intended to use them to have one of my shops where, as much as poss, I didn't require SA's assistance as was very happy with dealing with the machines only!!!:o I plucked up some courage and took in my basket the No7 Bath Soak, some No7 clearence items and JF serums to use the hairies on... sods law I was served by a not so friendly SA... have been served by her b4 and was dreading to go back 2 her...I asked her for separate transactions so could use my vouchers and the following's what I did:

    Shop 1
    No7 Bronzer £1.47 (clearence)
    No7 Day cream * 2 @ £1.20 = £2.40 (clearence)
    No7 Body Spray @ £1.46
    JF Serum @ £1.95

    Total £7.28 - Perkie - Hairy thus total 2 pay 33p!
Initially, SA advised she didn't think I could use the perkie on the above items and I thought 'there we go again... the same lecture re not able to use on clearence!'... but somehow she scanned and was she not surprised it went thru!!!:D

    Shop2 2 & 3 & 4 & 5
    JF Serum @ £1.95
    FREE with hairy!!

Now the dreading No 3 shop with the No 7 Bath Soak as I had the pts vouchers (3 of them!!! ) and the perkie too... started by giving the 250pts GWP followed by the 100pts ACM; gave her another 250pts from Xmas GWP and she looked @ it, read, looked, read...:o I pointed this was different to the previous 250pts given... by this time a middle aged SA next to my SA started showing interest in my transaction! Thought 'Oh no!' but still if she didn't take it I'd b ok... probably wouldn't b pd by Mr B to take the item away...!!!:D Surprise, surprise she scanned the pts voucher and 'voila!' it went thru! Was she not surprised again! Now then, I produce my perkie and she tells me she doesn't think the pts would have gone thru with using the perkie! But, as she advises me, she'll check my receipt to ascertain if the pts have been added!! Receipt comes out, she looks at it and have I not got 600pts on it!!! As soon as I was given my bag did a quick retreat!!! So on this transaction the total was £7.83 - perkie + 600pts added; realistically Mr B pd me £3.17 to take it away... this is becoming addictive!!!;) Oh yes, on this transaction had another JF serum thus used the hairy...

On my way out decided to check the ACM and was I not surprised to get 3 * P&P £5 vouchers! Now with the perkie/P&P voucher could have got the No7 Hand Cream free but didn't wanna push my luck as SS tills still not working and would have had to stay in the queue; also felt the SA's had seen enough of me 4 the day! Can one imagine if I used the vouchers and they saw me paying nothing?!:o Would be 2 noticeable so left it... will try to give it a try 2day if I can get to the bigger Boots...

Very quick post as I need some sleep (and a rest from Boots :D) and won't post any clearance bargains because they probably were store specific BUT ....

I popped into a newly-refurbished Boots (formerly Alliance) and had a weird transaction that I couldn't repeat as I didn't actually realise it had happened until a while later. Anyway, deperately trying to cut a long story short  (and failing :rotfl: ) but I bought a Gillette Series item to gain the 150 points.

The till is always slow, as they are in most of the village Boots, so when the voucher took a while going through, I wasn't that concerned. Then the SA said it wasn't valid. I couldn't think why, apart from the fact that it might have been because I was using my AC but OH's voucher. So I mentioned it, and asked if I could swap the voucher for the one with my name on, which she did - successfully, and handed me the receipt, item, and voucher back.

Later on when I looked at the voucher, I'd received 300 points instead of 150  So make of it what you will iyswim ;) (and I'm sure some of you seasoned Bootsers will :D)

Btw, I only realised what might have happened when I bought another Gillette in another store and the voucher that had been handed back to me failed to scan as I was told it had already been scanned.

Not sure if that will help anyone at all tbh :D but it'll maybe give you something to think about later today, or perhaps be explained by someone more alert (and better at glitches!) than I am at the moment :)

Hope you all manage to get rid of the hairy/wrinklies today :)

Your gift when you spend £30 or more on selected YSL women's fragrance.

I recently bought the YSL 'Elle", ladies fragrance with points, in a reduced priced gift set
(think it was around £23.00 or so/ reduced from £36).
It included the fragrance and a body cream. I really like it, it lasts for ages and was well worth the points I used.

This says the offer is for 'selected' YSL...so I checked other perfumes that you could buy to get the gwp online
(tested this out by putting them in my basket) and these include: Rive Gauche, Baby Doll, Paris and Opium fragrances.
I saw this gift in store today and it looks quite nice/ the extra products would be a bonus too. HTH. :)

Yes, that's the one - thank you :)

I have lots of points saved up, so might go and test a few of those fragrances.

I love Paris. I don't know if its still on offer, it has been for a while, around £17-18. You could buy 2 bottles and have a spare, or give one as a pressie and keep the GWP.
Everyone asks me what I'm wearing when I use it. I bought a bottle last year when I exchanged some Chanel No.5 I had been given for Christmas.

As per OP's post SS tills appear to give change but I'd feel quite uncomfortable as the SS SA's can guard cmrs like hawks... imagine not only getting it free but being pd in cash (with change) 2 take it away...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ha ha, I wrote on Saturday that I had been having trouble with the SS tills beeping for assistance and getting grumpy SA. My total showed £1.71 and I still wanted to use my hairy voucher which was the only reason I bought the hairspray, the SA was horrified, said 'You can't use that - there's not £2 to pay'. I just thought I'd lose a few pence and wasn't bothered as I was getting the hairspray free anyway, so scanned it before she had time to stop me. Hey presto - out popped 29p!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
  • Hi all - I'm loving all your shopping lists ! Many thanks and keep them coming !

i got a free p&p handcream today using vouchers. the sa was lovely and said "that's great isnt it?" and i just smiled politely. im quite shy and if i ever do speak to people in public i end up whispering or talking really fast.
    but bargain!!
and got 14 serums today totalling to 21 serums in total :)
Been there, done that ! When I'm trying to use lots of coupons I always end up getting really giddy and overly chatty with the SA:rotfl:.
