Thanks, do you have a recipe for rusks, please?0

My nan used to give my mum a wooden dolly peg to chew on, but like catowen I found peeled carrots that had been cooled in the fridge to work far better than anything else, for a start they didn't fall to bits and cause a choking hazzard, they're easy for baby to grip, and best of all they're cheap and healthy.
Good luck, I hope you find a solution.<('@')> Oink0 -

For rusks I just used to cut breadcrusts into sticks and dry out in alow oven until hard. You might be concerned about salt in the bread though.0

A trick that was in the baby wisperer book was dipping the corner of a flannel in water and then freezing it, I've used this several times although i have to say the thing that worked best for DD was bickypegsSorting my life out one day at a time0

My mum used to give me a bagel to chew on when I was little - apparently 1 bagel lasted me ages.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 027

bickiepegs were a complete waste of money in our household, as were teethers ... cucumber worked for us, mind you that's a bit difficult at 4mths
Currently, a flannel seems to be working for us (dd is 2yrs 3mths and getting the nasty big ones ... )
