Aldi or Asda?

  • The health people want to get down to my local Netto then, its gross!
Tried Aldi, but I can never do a full shop in the so called bargain supermarkets so I use the Asda based on price and ease of shopping.
  • Prices in both seem to be going up recently but I'll be using Aldi for most stuff and not Asda for the simple reason that I've had 3 bad experiences with Asda meats and fish, the last of which made me very ill.
I got £15 out of it but considering how ill I was I should have demanded more!
Asda fruit, veg, meat, chicken and fish is so badly stored and looked after it's a wonder more folk aren't ill.

Aldi Lidl Netto - all such unpleasant messy grubby places, with long queues and few checkouts - on the odd occasion I venture into one of them (can't tell the difference) I come out feeling I could use a shower! Probably being unfair to Netto as I can't actually recall entering one in recent years.

Asda, Sainsburys, Waitrose - all nice clean places with (largely) friendly staff and lots of things you want to buy, often at good prices (yes even Waitrose these days!)

I have to disagree. We now only go to Netto or lidle, cheapest meat in Netto, got pack of 4 chicken breast for £2.35 great bargain so we got 4 packets and invited loads of family over for a curry night!!! Got cheap potatoes too and made big bowl of bombay potatoes as well!!!
Will never go into waitrose, over rated and over priced i brought few bit years ago came to nearly £30 never entered that shop again
